  1. I will definitely try it with the french onion soup. That really sounds yummmmmyyyyyy!!!! It will depend on if the DS is here when I make it.......he does not like mushrooms. But for me and the DH, it sounds good with them. Did you use the cubed steak? When I made it years ago, I do not remember using cubed steak. Just wondering.

    THANKS again!

I use round steak (I think the package I used tonight said top round)

  2.

    Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds cubed round steak, cut into thin strips

    House Seasoning, recipe follows

    All-purpose flour

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    2 tablespoons butter

    1 medium onion, sliced

    8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced

    1 (10 3/4-ounce) can beef broth

1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup

    Salt and black pepper

    1 cup sour cream

    Cooked egg noodles

    Directions

Season the steak strips with House Seasoning, then dust with flour. In a large skillet, quickly brown them on both sides in the olive oil and butter. Remove the steak from the pan. Add the onion slices and mushrooms to the pan drippings. Saute for a few minutes, until the onion is tender. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon flour. Put the steak back into the pan with the onion and mushrooms. Add the mushroom soup and beef broth. Cook over low heat for about 30 minutes, covered. Adjust seasoning to taste, adding salt and pepper, as needed. Stir in the sour cream the last few minutes, right before you serve. Serve over cooked noodles.

    House Seasoning:

    1 cup salt

    1/4 cup black pepper

    1/4 cup garlic powder

Mix the ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

    Yields: 1 1/2 cups

  3. You can never make everyone happy. It just cant be done. The parade is a LOT of work for MONTHS and I appreciate the people who work on it so that so many can enjoy it and so that Paulding Christmas can make Christmas special for those in need.

I bet the original poster has never worked on a parade (in fact, may never do any volunteer work)

  4. Honestly she is right, when someone comes on here and asks a question they immediatly start to get bashed. She is being responsible enough to find him a good home and all I see is people bashing her. I'm sorry but if I had a choice between my children or my dog ( as much as I love my dog) my children will ALWAYS come first. I think that you people on here do take some things wayyyyy tooo far.

    I agree.
