I'm going to miss the old coot. He was a lot of fun to shoot the bull with and my kids loved him dearly. Cancer sucks.
-
Jim is good people. Welcome.
-
I voted for Heath earlier this week.
-
I expect the "U S Marshall's are hunting Bill Carruth" mailings and calls will be remembered just like Jerry's "David Austin is a developer" mail tubes.
Bill Heath has turned my stomach in this campaign.
Bill owes that money. We are stuck with some absolute shiite choices in this election.
-
What is up with the letter everyone is getting about Bill Carruth? Looks like it is coming from The US Marshall's, writ of execution foro 2,000000. Who sent that?! Kind of scared the crap out of me, thinking I owed some type of debt.
One of the best campaign flyers that I have ever seen! Finally, something fresh. Too funny.

It would be nice if we could just flush and start over.

Can't say that I blame him. This isn't one of the most pleasant places to live these days. Traffic and crime for starters, but if you enjoy a laid back way of life, Tifton is much different than living around here.
Really? Traffic and crime? Do you really think that Paulding is that bad? Wow.
-
Not a hater, just making an observation. You have a bunch of kids who look up to their coach and they have to find out that he is leaving from a newspaper article. Not cool. They deserve better.
-
To make this even crappier, evidently he didn't announce it to his team. This article is how folks are finding out.
-
He said in his cover letter that he would not stop until he wins a state championship. I guess that didn't apply here in Paulding.

Thank you for posting this. This is my husband.
I thought about posting this, but it was hard enough writing the obit. I didn't think I could post it.
Beth, I know a ton of people who absolutely loved your husband. He was one of the kindest and most talented people that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. His passing will leave a hole in a lot of people's lives. We all grieve with you and will be here to help, if needed.
Please, let this community know if there are any needs. They tend to really take care of their own.

Movies 278 will now be Carmike. I am sure prices are going to rise, too.

The only real solution here is to start killing camels.

My heart is breaking over the loss of Casey. He has a beautiful family and it hurts so bad to see those little boys losing their father. Please, keep the McBrydes in your thoughts and prayers. Casey was a wonderful person and a devoted father and husband. He is going to be sorely missed by all that knew him. His courage and attitude while fighting cancer has been an inspiration to everyone who witnessed it.

I saw it, yesterday. Outstanding! Great movie that was a lot more dramatic than the John Wayne version. You could almost smell the stank on the dirty, grimey cowboys.
-
Thanks Will! It was a pleasure getting to know you and getting beat up for voting for a Democrat.

No kudos to the first woman elected to this seat?
NO

The results are what they are. I am not happy with who we are sending to Atlanta to represent our county, but I will work hard to change that situation in the next primary.
The one result that really bothers me and just boggles my mind, because it can't be changed, is that this state just voted to allow employers to keep you from working in your field of expertise, in the event that they fire you or you quit. Literally, they could come to you today and make you sign a non-compete agreement and fire you tomorrow and you will not be allowed to go work for a competitor or start your own business in the same field. It was grossly misrepresented in the presentation on the ballot.

We all need a good, honest, hardworking person as our representative.
The choice is obvious.
The choice is Will Avery.
Yup. I made that same choice, this week. If he doesn't do what he says, we vote him out on the next ballot.

Hummm?
what is see is that Tom Milianese finds fault with those who think the world will be better off the better educated the population is.
It is quite obvious that the conservatives, who look to history as their guide, say that massive ignorance throughout the world was good enough for great grandpa so it ought to be good enough for you and me.
... which is totally consistent with the entire conservative philosophy which is that if ignorance is bliss, that is the best way to keep the masses happy in their wage slavery.
And I think with the folks they have running including their legal issues and proven special treatment (Deal's near exclusivity with his junk yard business) and even Paulette's arrest record they are counting on widespread ignorance not only here but across the globe. I mean really would anyone with any education vote for these goons?
pubby
Pubby, you don't know the first thing about true conseratives. Honestly, you speak of conservatives like a racist would speak of black people. You lump everyone into the same group and make ASSumptions.
Don't forget that the only reason that Will is gaining any traction in this county is because a bunch of those nasty conservatives are supporting him.

Well it's not the $300 million that Richardson spent for a roll in the hay, but $200,000 for a Monica Lewinsky seems a bit above the going rate. And while these two guys aren't GQ cover material, they don't seem to be so desperately ugly that they would have to pay THAT kind of money for sexual favors.
But the Republicans are batting a thousand this year. Keep this up and Jesus is going to change parties.
And yet Carol Porter, the mother of FOUR Eagle Scouts is not as good to some of you as this womanizing hillbilly?
Honestly, did you really think that it was "back surgery" that kept him from running for Governor? Just like Glenn, this rumor has been seriously floated around the Gold Dome for quite a while.

Double Tapped, sorry.
To the above post, we already passed the Super Speeder law that was supposed to take care of this. Now, they want more money, because the speeders slowed down.

Micah is the real deal. I have more respect for him than any other politician in this state.
