  1. I have Comcast, but I was looking into Satellite TV a while back. The one thing, at the time, that turned me away from Dish was the fact that they didn't carry Peachtree TV, which would have cancelled out a bunch of Braves games. Direct TV would have been the better choice for me. Cable and Satellite providers play a dangerous game of chicken when they can't compromise on rates. Internet and 3G/4G network TV might blow them all out of the water.
  2. I was shocked and greatly saddened to learn of Greg's passing. We always chatted when I shopped at Publix. I just saw him on my last trip home (I am an OTR Trucker) We were both from NJ originally so we'd talk about football and how he was a big Jets fan and me a Giants. I told him he had the right colors on his truck to be a Jets fan. Life is so short. I send my sympathy, thoughts and prayers to his family. Greg will be missed by many.
  3. Hello friends! I hope everyone's doing ok with the heat. I'm layed over here in Omaha, Nebraska. It's a pleasant area and the weather has been nice. It was 91 here today and expected to hit 96 tomorrow. With that in mind, I'm hoping my next load assignment takes to points west....so I can enjoy it and not worry about harsh winter weather. I've been through 9 states so far on this trip. Ohio, near Cleveland. Then Detroit to Kansas City and finally up here to Omaha. It was a mostly clear trip except for severe thunder in Des Moines, Iowa. I've been looking for Buffalo and Steer and
  4. They need to get these maggots under control. My neighbor is out there most afternoons doing target practice. Roofers working at my house recently were scared to death. Maybe he's on to something.
  5. As long as they don't change anything and they make it here, it has a chance. Otherwise, the Chinese can't build a vehicle. The Japanese or Koreans, they ain't. I like driving a Hummer H3, it's like a bunker on wheels. The Chinese were supposed to have a vehicle here now. It has been delayed over quality and safety issues. Them and the Russians with their Trabant. A diesel Trabant, now there's great ride :-P The Indians were supposed to have the Mahindra here...a pick up SUV and regular SUV. Haven't heard anything recently.
  6. The new GM ad campaign is right on target. They'll come out of this thing a stronger and more efficient company. GM became a bloated and over-run company. They paid dearly for some poor product and labor decisions. One example was bringing the Saturn Astra to market. Unforseen market conditions blew this one out of the water. Nothing wrong with the car. In fact, it's one of the best made in the world. It's hugely popular in Europe as an Opel Astra. Problem was, it was built in Antwerp, Belgium. About the time they brought it to market here, the US dollar dropped in value and ther
  7. I agree. My 1994 Buick Park Avenue Ultra is a great automobile. When was the last time you saw a 1994 Toyota, Nissan or Mitsubishi? Hyundais were junk. I don't think Kia was on the American scene quite yet. The Sephia was quite forgettable. Everyone gives GM such a hard time. GM built vehicles people wanted. The best SUVs around. They were profitable. So, what's a company to do? Build vehicles that people want that are profitable? I was in the auto biz selling GM products for a stretch and that's all I heard. Trucks trucks trucks. I want a truck. What brought this th
  8. With all the rain, I'm gonna need Agent Orange for the weeds...
  9. They could have one everyday! I love this store! Finally a store in New Hope just for me! Yippy Yi Yay O Yay! Go Batman!
  10. I was deeply saddened to hear of Jared's passing. I worked with Jared at Coldwell Banker and saw him quite frequently at the office, meetings and training. Although I had not seen him for a while, I will miss him greatly. Jared set the example of an outstanding man who was easy to talk with and be around. He told me after he was diagnosed that it changed his view of what was important in life to him. That conversation left an indellible impression on me. I send my heart-felt sympathies to his wife and children. God bless you Jared
