I have seen first-hand how heartless kids can be...with Facebook being a rally call. My oldest child had her character "torn to shreds" by girls who HAD NEVER MET HER much less KNEW HER AS A PERSON. I am completely aware being here at this time and location was my choice, so please spare the speeches on that. I guess what I am most disappointed in is the lack of disregard and disrespect. I am currently in the mess (PCB). Agreed to bring 16 yr. old daughter and friend, as well as my two younger daughters. NEVER AGAIN! I was shocked to find out I know and went to high school with the person who killed Officer Vogt. We were soo fortunate to go to a small high school and therefore we pretty much new everyone. He was a year ahead of me. He was part of the "popular crowd" and came from a very good family. I knew him personally - in highschool - and he was a very low key, sweet and good person. Not by any means an amusement park, but Barnsley Gardens Resort in Adairsville is wonderful. Lots of southern history, a tragic love story and even tales of a ghost that haunts the property. Although it may be best to go in the spring because the gardens are beautiful...they have fishing and horseback riding. I have lived in GA my whole life and never even knew about this place. Thanks for your responses. Every little bit helps. :-) We went to try Birdies tonite...kids were excited - something different. We get there and THEY ARE CLOSED ON MONDAYS! Oh nooooo. :-( So we went to Cheeseburger Bobby's and low and behold - kid's meals are 99 cents on MWFs. It worked out good.
