My father coached football his entire life. He was the gentlest, finest man I have ever known. But when he coached he was stern, disciplined and took no crap. I distinctly remember once when I was young...he was known for his winning teams...one particular game was a rival and it was known it would be a tough game. His team won...kicked butt...but yet...after the celebration...once things settled down...I looked out and my dad's team was running laps. I was dumbfounded and went down to question him. Why are they running laps? Why are they being punished for winning? He told me...y -

I have seen first-hand how heartless kids can be...with Facebook being a rally call. My oldest child had her character "torn to shreds" by girls who HAD NEVER MET HER much less KNEW HER AS A PERSON. At one point, they were like hyenas circling their prey...feeding off each other's frenzy. It was devastating for her and heartbreaking for me. The reason? Jealous girls reveling in her sadness of a breakup. Hating someone because they are pretty. Laughing at someone because their heart was broken. My younger one was threatened by a girl known to be a "bully" at school & on . Sur -
I am completely aware being here at this time and location was my choice, so please spare the speeches on that. I guess what I am most disappointed in is the lack of disregard and disrespect. If I am on a public beach with my children and a 16 year old girl (along with countless others just like her) is in front of us, clearly drinking alcohol, flashing her parts, fondling herself and others....all along FULLY knowing a 9 year old girl is near just trying to build a sand castle??? I am very laid-back, open-minded and have no problem with them having fun. But there is a point where

I am currently in the mess (PCB). Agreed to bring 16 yr. old daughter and friend, as well as my two younger daughters. NEVER AGAIN! We are staying in a very well-known and nice high-rise condo and I have truly felt like a prisoner all week. The traffic is horendous and trips to get groceries, swim stuff has been a joke. Although I give high kudos to this condo's attempt at security - it just appears the "numbers" are against them. I am truly amazed at the vast number of teens that are walking Front Beach Rd. nightly like an army of ants. I witnessed 3 teens literally being evicted fr

I was shocked to find out I know and went to high school with the person who killed Officer Vogt. We were soo fortunate to go to a small high school and therefore we pretty much new everyone. He was a year ahead of me. He was part of the "popular crowd" and came from a very good family. I knew him personally - in highschool - and he was a very low key, sweet and good person. My brother is an officer for Clayton County and I worry about his safety everyday. Clayton County sadly has become one of the most dangerous counties in the metro area. My heart goes out to the family & -
Not by any means an amusement park, but Barnsley Gardens Resort in Adairsville is wonderful. Lots of southern history, a tragic love story and even tales of a ghost that haunts the property. Although it may be best to go in the spring because the gardens are beautiful...they have fishing and horseback riding. I have lived in GA my whole life and never even knew about this place. It truly is a hidden, little gem and on a beautiful day - truly worth the ride. http://www.barnsleyresort.com/

Thanks for your responses. Every little bit helps. :-) We went to try Birdies tonite...kids were excited - something different. We get there and THEY ARE CLOSED ON MONDAYS! Oh nooooo. :-( So we went to Cheeseburger Bobby's and low and behold - kid's meals are 99 cents on MWFs. It worked out good.
