No kill shelters are not the answers...they will still be turned in left and right, and if not adopted they turn into cats (which are also in over abundance).
It takes education...unfortunetly, no matter how much we TRY and educate everyone, you still get those who don't fix their cat because "it's male and can't get pregnant
" or the female "never goes out" or "we want to wait until it's a year old" or "we want it to have a litter of kittens, she'd make pretty babies 
" Seriously, these are ALL excuses that I have heard.If you find a stray, take it to the shelter, don't leave it a stray to get pregnant (or get some other stray preggo)...don't want to take it to the shelter, take it to get it fixed and re-release it. Find a pregnant cat, don't let it have the babies...get her fixed immediatly. People say "we'll find them homes", well, look how many people are trying to give a way kittens, unsuccessfuly... If, they are being given away, that opens a whole new can of worms. Are they going to be fixed by the new owners or contribute to the overpopulation issue??? The ones that are "free" take away from the ones to be rescued from the shelters vs. being PTS.
Sad reality for those of us involved with rescue...very frustrating

I cannot imagine gaining that much in a week .. heck even in a year it would worry me. I was told years ago if I gained more than 10 pounds in less than a year to go and see my Dr.
I didn't puke and I gained with all my kiddo's
1200 is ideal for me
If I did 2k a day .. yeah I would be gaining for sure. If I go under 1k .. I find my tired all day and it's just not worth it.I gain 5-8 pounds every month. It happens around the middle of the month actually. It sucks.

OK - so, I gained....um...10 EFFIN POUNDS on vacation! So, I'm charging myself with losing 20lbs by June 13th. That's 6 weeks and I need to lose about 3.5lbs a week to make my goal. Mind you, I'm a pretty determined person when I put my mind to it, but if anyone wants to take on the challenge with me - I'm happy to share successes, food journaling, even work outs except that I generally go during the day.
Anyone want to take on a challenge with me? I see posts almost everyday about women that need to "lose 20lbs", no time like the present.
That is my wedding date and I need to lose about 10 more pounds would love to lose 20. It's not impossible, last August I lost 30 lbs in one month. I don't recommend it. -
Paulding County SO can't write a ticket for 4 mph over. That info is as bad as your advice to pay the fine.

You mean you do speed sometimes and the Cop was doing his job and actually caught you? Pay the fine. You drive the vehicle it does not drive you.
and this is coming from someone who has 4 speeding tickets
. I'm guilty and I pay the fine. And one was from a PCSO and I was only doing 4 over the limit. -
I was spanked at least once a day even sometimes twice and I was even popped on the mouth occasionally. Of course I had to pick out my own hickory and I also knew not to come back with a small one cause I sure did not want momma going searching for one. I gave my poor momma hell.
Hopefully a few well timed spankings when they are young prevent power struggles when they are larger than you. If you have to spank them after they get past 8 or so, it's too late! Being creative with punishments is often much more effective.My dad always had us "go to the wood pile."
There was more ceremony to it than pain. Never did it cause welts or bruising. I don't remember crying, there was more embarrassment to it. Usually the punishment was agreed to the day before, after discussing the offending behavior. It was usually when you had done something you were told not to.
We had to choose the stick with which he would beat us. The pile was the left over sticks from wood working projects which were kept by the saw.
You had to assume the position ... bent over holding ankles, in the driveway where all the neighbors could see! Then you got the agreed upon whacks for the crime. I only remember a few times ...my little brother just could not stay out of trouble ... he got it a lot.
My grandfather had a very nice big "wood pile" on 61N before the bridge pass Northside Elem. and I fondly remember moving that pile several times. I would gladly take a whoopin' over that.

Yeah, this stuff works great for most folks. I said natural cause I'm home alone with 3 kids and anything stronger than advil will knock me out-I'm a total lightweight.
(I just gave my box of Mucinex D away last week to a friend cause it's too strong and zonks me out fast.)
I smoke also. I get bronchitis about three times a year and my sinus's are terrible. My ears have been bothering me since November. Like you at the moment no health insurance. Mucinex never worked for me. Claritin D has helped but no cure.

I'm coughing and my ears hurt, I have a RAGING sinus headache with a fever and I feel like there is an elephant sitting on my chest. My nasal discharge is green. It's most likely a sinus infection/ear infection and may be turning into bronchitis. Did I mention that I have asthma?
My albutera (emergency)l inhaler is now empty and no medical insurance (dumb I know). I took the hot shower with the VICKS shower soother. That helped open me up a little...been boiling water on the stove to put some moisture into the air (darn gas heat), and taking advil.
Am I missing anything???
P.S. I HATE SPRING IN GEORGIA
Curious...Do you smoke?

I have a reservation at National Parks Hotel but it is so cheap it is starting to make me nervous; not that I dislike getting a bargain but I've never stayed at a hotel for such a small amount of money! I'm getting nervous that it might be nasty.
I'm weird!
National Parks is nice. Nothing to worry about.

Why??? I'm SO proud of myself! Losing weight does make you look younger, and feel younger! I'm 10# thinner than even the last pic!
Here's me growing up. After I got fat, I let fat get me. I don't know how it happened, really, but I went to try on clothes one day and I was a 16. I said enough was enough. Sometimes, I'll even go so far as to say, a lot of the time, it's nothing more than determination. I'm not ashamed of my heavier days, without them I wouldn't be who I am -- I realized that weight was really just my way of manifesting unhappiness.
(I was going through an equally unhappy time and didn't eat when this pic was taken)I'm proud of myself too. Maybe one day I will post a before and after picture.

I don't think anyone stated that you are an irresponsible breeder. Many of us just feel that spay/neutering is the proper thing to do. Again, I'm not saying that YOU are not responsible, just your choice is irresponsible. Now, if there was a real medical reason to NOT have one fixed, that's another story, however, that is generally not the case.

you were right about what, me asking a question as to if you were a breeder? I was explaining how the owner of 2 females COULD breed. Never said you DID breed. Facts, my dear, Facts.
You thought with all your might I was one. You wanted to confirm it. You were wrong. I could breed. You are correct on that.

There you go. Assuming what certain people do "it's the right thing to do". Your right it is my choice. Just because I don't do what you do, does not make me irresponsible. I pay for the vet bills, food, toys, treats, and make sure they are loved. They go to work with me every day. They are 24/7 adored. I have that luxury so, don't jump on the ban wagon and accuse me of being irresponsible. I love my dogs and I take care of their needs. Till then KISS IT.

No, I meant it as she breeds the females. She may "get" males (borrow or have a friend who has males) from elsewhere and give them "pick of the liter", or just pay a "stud fee".

I stated I have 2 females that are not fixed and I'm not going to.
Everyone started foaming out the mouth and just assumes I'm an irresponsible inhumane breeder cause I have animals that are not fixed.
Of course this is Paulding.com and life. People tend to jump to conclusions w/o knowing all THE FACTS!

SOLO, you are the exception unfortunately. Many people with unfixed pets plan on breeding at some point. It usually has NOTHING to do with their health (most of the time.)

You say it's your business and you don't need to explain yourself, so, maybe she feels it's her business so why should she need to explain herself?
I (but I am not JBrigman) think it is irresponsible. It is healthier to have them fixed and it prevents unplanned pregnancies.

Putting 2 female Boxers together is not a great idea and having them not spayed is even worse. They do tend to fight as they get older. I have 6 adult Boxers all spayed and neutered.If you would like to have them spayed them Humane Society can help you with this. I am not bashing just suggesting.
I would NOT like to have them spayed.
