Actually, a sex offender cannot live within 1000 feet of a school or church or registered day care. The exception to this rule is as follows: IF an offender is living in an approved location and one of the above facilities moves in or builds within 1000 feet of him/her, then they do NOT have to move. For instance, I live in a subdivision and the house across the street from me is vacant. IF an offender buys this home and moves in and then the next month I decide to open my home as a certified day care then he/she would not be forced to move. Hope this helps

Putting different numbers on the mailbox and registry is a new felony if caught...providing false information. Report him to the SHERIFF's office or the county SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY OFFICER (the sheriff's office should know who this person is). "i wonder if they are supervised closely? the date of his last residence verification was in may-sounds slack to me" (sorry don't know how to quote two replies at the same time.) Sounds like there isn't much supervision if this guy can get away with providing false info.

Mr. Harold Turley of Kennesaw passed away on Wednesday August 17. Mr. Turley was a preacher for nearly 40 years (that I know of) and pastored/preached at several churches in the metro area. Mr. Turley was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Marietta and I believed pastored there a number of years ago.
