Well he got the stimulus bill passed, which has certaintly helped Paulding County, and prevented massive tax increases, in the School DistrictIt also reduced taxes for 95% of all working Americans. He saved the American automobile industry. He prevented the total collapse of the banking industry,Which was done in a bi partisan matter along with the Bush adminstrations help. Actually I have been in the political forum some this week,And made a few post,And got called out in one of those post, Because President Obama made such a bunch of buffons out of the Republican Caucas, Some had to draw my attention away from that thread,And draw me into this one. Politics make strange bed fellows as the old saying goes, And I just about busted a gut laughing when I saw all those Republicans lining up to Shake Obamas hand, get their pictures taken with him and getting autographs, Now that was really something to see, And Keith Oberlman had Dr. Phil picture in Cedartown with th -

Not really, Since Obama got the stimulus bill passed the Paulding County school district received millions of dollars in stimulus money, that allowed the School Board to retain a large number of teachers and other personnel who would otherwise be laid off, Like Dr. Phil they gladly accepted these tax dollars,And kept teachers at work, teaching kids, and not increasing class room size, And for the first time in several years, not raising taxes on the citizens of Paulding County. Unlike others who chose to join and support committees that gave us one of the highest tax increases in the history of -

I find it repulsive, some of the post on this Board about the President of the United States, while Obama is tryng to pull the country ouy of the deepest recession in the history of this great country, And while we are at war in in two different country's However I have a choice either do not log on those forums,or use the ignore button, feel free to do either -

Beach Bum you posted "Now on the other hand, the Kim Curl issue is not a "moot" issue. You posted that he "quit the school board at one time because he didn't get his way". My very reliable sources tell me that this is in no way, shape or form true." Beach this is not a accurate quote that you have quoted, Now you and Madea both need to re read the post If you are going to quote me please take the time to read and understand the post in it's entirety, I maintain that it is now a moot issue, Mr Curl is not running for any elective office -

Madea If you will get your feet back on the ground for a second and re read my post,You will readily see that I neither lied/and or misrepresented anything, I did ask a few QUESTIONS, Based on what I had heard, That question could be easily answered by either you or Beach Bum if you had desired too, In fact all of the questions in the originial post could have been answered by anyone in this forum. Pure and simple,I did ask some questions, And I do not recall seeing any answers,Did I miss something?? -

I really think that this has become a moot issue since Mr. Curl is not running for the office described in this post. Seems I recall some post that you made about Mr. Seabolt that appear to me to be questionable, SO................. Since that is now a moot issue,I have not brought that up either. As far as I am concerned this issue is closed -

MADEA Really do not think it is a moot point,Seems that Mr.Curl will have to meet the voters this year if he intends to run again for the school board? If my memory serves me the School bond was voted down the first time,And was passed the second time around after thousands of special interest campaign $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ was injected into the campaign. If mr.Curl runs for re election for the school board I fully intend on reminding the voters of all of his votes to raise our taxes, After all incumbents should not mind running on their records RUGHT??????? -

The party has nothing to do with my comments on Mr. Curl, His actions/votes and the way that he has conducted himself as a member of the Paulding County school Board has everything to do with my comments. I do not agree that we should of had a school tax increase most years that he has served on the School Board, DO YOU???? FYI I believe the record will reflect that last tax year was the first year in several years that the School BOARD DID NOT PROPOSE A TAX INCREASE!!!, Furthermore the School District received MILLIONS of dollars of stimulus money from the Federal Government to off set the -

Would love to have a Town hall Type meeting,For all of the candidates. The new commission Chairman held one and it was well attended and everyone got to ask all the questions that they wanted to. It was a very open and transparent meeting Did you by any chance attend? I did. -

Kids first huh, Did The school board put the kids first when they agreed to build the Taj Mahal for the adults,And put the kids in trailers? Sorry Everything was booming around here when he voted to place our Grand kids in debt (25 Year Bond) And the School Taxes were going up every year,Under his adminstration. -

Just thought someone may know the legal answer may still get a reply from someone. Just for your information their is no need to talk with Mr. Curl his past actions/votes as a member of the Paulding County School Board speaks Volumes to me as to his intergity and positions on many issues. GOOD GRIEF Beach Bum everyone who ever read this message board knows that a certain Bank here in the County has always handled Most of the Bonds ever issued by the School District and the County, Surely one as involvrd as you are knew this, I simply asked if this was a bank that Mr. Curl was connected wi -

I have a legal question? Is it lawful to vote as a School Board member to put a School Bond Vote on the Ballot for a special election,And then Contribute to a campaign fund for the passage of the Bond Issue? Does not seem legal to me, Just asking I am sure that everyone remembers the School bonds being on two SPECIAL ELECTIONS, Defeated the first time, Then the $$$$$$$$$$$ got involved the second time So does Kim want to do this on a State Level since it worked so well on a County level? Be very careful with this vote folks, It could cost you a lot of Tax $$$$$$$$$$$$ -

I see that some of the regulars on this site are heaping High Praise upon Kim Curl, I agree he is a fine person but................ Is this the same person that at one point quit the School Board because he did not get his way?? Is this the same person That Donated money to the "Support Paulding Schools" committee during the School Bond election, That crammed the school bond down the throats of the citizens of Paulding County? Is this the same person that supported increases in School Taxes almost every year while he was serving on the School Board? While elected to the School Boa -
I am a retired GM worker,And I can assure you that I do not have a Cadilliac plan. We have no coverage for office visits, $50 co-pay for brand name drugs, and a $1,000 deductible yearly for covered benefits,Plus a increase in monthly premium payments this year, In addition certain RX drugs are no longer covered. I would be happy to have a Health Care plan Simliar to any Federal,State,County, or City worker

I have read the entire thread,And some of the post really amaze me. Have I missed something in Surepip's post?? After three year's of investigation by the County attorney's and some $ 800.000 dollars later,The County is still not ready to go to Court and hear this case? WTH does the County need additional time for investigation,Before going to trial???? Three years and hundreds of thousands of TAX dollars spent on a case is not acceptable to me,It is time to hear this case ASAP. To commissioners Powell,Graham, and Kirby, You are all three up for re election in 2010,I do not expe

I really do not expect Shearin to run for the job,In my opinion he is not in that district,Or is he?? Furthermore I believe that he has other issues on the horizion that may preclude him from being eligible to run for a political office. Naw he want run,The field will be crowded though
