OMG!! What the hell are the parents doing to not notice they're freaking baby has been gone for an hour?! They don't know how lucky they are that something terrible didn't happen to this kid, who is more than likely BARELY even walking. if people can't handle the responsibility of taking care of a child, they shouldn't have them. Period.
I totally agree Georgiagirl. I want even let my little man out of my site when I'm out side or out of reach when we are in public. These parents are so irresponsible. How in the world do you not know your baby is not in the house or by your side. Thank the god these little one where o.k. they could have been hurt or way worse. People like that don't need kid!!

Prayers said. In the past month my daddy almost died and my grandmother had cancer surgery for 10 hours. All with in days of each other. What I'm trying to say is hang in there it may not fill like it right now but the sun will shine on you and your family again. It is starting to rise for mine.
And like you I am a believer in the power of prayer.

Have you been under a rock??? They ARE going to be building two levels (also known as building up instead of out) and that was a KEY part of the plan of this bond vote. Now that it has passed, you will be seeing exactly what you aksed for.
Look I have not been under a rock. I did not want this bond to pass in the first place. I was just stating that is they are going to use our (the tax payers) hard earned money to build schools. Why can't they put it to a economicly effiecent use. And if they had already stated this in one of the many postings on here I must have missed it. I don't come on here every waking minute of the day. I was just trying to simply express my opinion that is all.
And to let you know NO I'm not getting what I wanted. I voted no yesterday. And I would appriecate if you wouldn't assume things that you have no idea about.

taxes for the airport - I thought the feds were paying for the majority of it!!
They are but for those of us who live in the surrounding area where the county bought 10,000 acres (Wild life Management) for develpment. Our taxes are definitely going to be going up.

I'm really disgusted over it.
I am disgusted too. It didn't matter if it passed or not with as much uncontrolable growth in this county we will eventually have double sessions anyway. So not only will I and the people around me have to pay for high taxes because of that airport now we have this as well. Yeah maybe our property values may go up but for some of us that planned on living in that house for the rest of our lives, all it is doing is hurting our pockets. It is fine and dandy for people it is not going to effect to say it is o.k. And give it maybe five years, I'm sure they will come up with something else that this county must have. They well give sob stories and tell you what they want you to hear so that you will open your wallets and say sure why not that doesn't sound like to much.
I have a question to anyone that could answer this.. Why don't we build schools that have more than one floor? That would take less acres and be able to have more students in classrooms and not in trailors. Since Paulding is all about modernizing and wanting to be more like Cobb and other surrounding counties.

I have never put my son in daycare before and I am so scared and uncertain about who to choose in Dallas. I was looking for one on my way to work. Can someone please give some ideas. I would love to here other parents opinions. He is my baby and I want to make sure I make the right decision. The only thing is I have to make my decision by tomorrow to put him in one for Monday. My parents have always kept him but now my daddy is in the hospital and is very sick. As of Saturday we where told he had a 50% chance of going either way. And my mom is there with him. And my grandmother is having cancer surgery on Wednesday. So any information any of you her could give would be so appreciated.

Has there ever been a point in your life when you said to yourself "I can't wait to get the hell out of Paulding County...."?? I remember in high school, graduating with the same people I went to pre-k with, I was ready to get out, but I'm still here... with all the people I went to pre-k with.
Oh yes Georgia girl.... I am feeling it right now. Which is really sad because I was born here and delivered by Dr. Braly in Paulding hospital. I have always been so proud no matter where I go to hold my head up high with a smile and say I'm from Dallas GA. But with every year that goes by all the so called progress is in my opinion is destoying our safe beautiful home. I have even noticed the air quality out here is not as clean as it use to be. For every shop, subdividson, building, and now that airport... Just think of all the well needed trees that we need for air they are cutting down for there progress.. Yeah thanks alot for helping to contribute to gobal warming. Anyway all I'm trying to say it really make me want to cry at the thought of leaving my home. But I have to look at reality... and that is I know longer feel safe walking down the road or being in my car. Heck you can't even be friendly and throw you hand up and wave at someone as you go down the road just to be nice cause 8 out of 10 want even give you the courtesy back. And the traffic here OMG it is worse then Kennesaw.. And all these commissioners can say oh this is progress for our county. Of course it is and I'm sure there extremely excited about it because they don't have to worry about an airport in there back yard, a strip mall, or a dump. -
I don't know where they go, but if they can't live on your dog, they can't get in your house. I have used frontline and advantix. Both are great...easy to use....expensive for such a little tube, but you won't have to buy all that other stuff, so cheaper in the long run. Just one tube a month will completely control the fleas and ticks. (At least Advantix controls ticks too. I'm not sure about Frontline.)
I don't use it year round. I start around May and use monthly until the first freeze.
Barbed wire I haven't had you kind of luck. My dog stays out side and I have been dealing with fleas in my house for two months now. They get on my 21 month old son. He keeps having flea bites on him. I have found them in his hair. I have found them in the bed and my carpet. We use front line.(that is what our vet recommended). We have used sprays, powders, clean all the carpets, and even had our pest control company come in and spray all the floors. (You have to stay out of the house for 4 hours and then vaccum and sweep every floor for four days after they spray).
And a 4,800 square foot house will wear you out. But they just seem to keep coming back. We have spent hundreds of dollars to try to get rid of these things. The vet told us fleas are really bad this year. Even going out in your yard and coming back in you could carry fleas in on your clothes or shoes. Pest control is coming out again Monday. Do you have any more suggestions? It would be greatly appreicated. -
I had mine removed when my son was only a month in a half old. I was still trying to get over the delivery of him. I was scared too. But I tell ya you will feel sooo much better afterwards.
I personally was in alot of pain right afterwards but in a couple of days I felt so much better. I was still breastfeeding at the time. I have a coworker that had hers out last week and she felt fine right after the surgery. Best of luck to you sweetie. Just keep thinking you want hurt like this anymore.

Please dont spend my tax money to pay any asking price. Do the honorable thing and pay fair market value, not any old thing the property owner asks.
I don't think you would feel that way if it where happening to you. Some people have lived on there land there all of there lives. It may have even been in the family for generations. So in my opinion for them to come in and say you need to leave something that means so much to you and your family and it's only worth this much is not right.

Who has been to Six Flags already for this season? I was just wondering what rides are gone to make way for the new ride? I am hoping that the Log ride is still there. That is Matthew's favorite ride. If it is gone then I am in big trouble.

My brother works there. Has been there for 25 years. My father worked there for 30 years.
The Gasp and the Looping Star Ship where removed along with all the games in that area.. It was a big deal when they took the Gasp out it had been there forever. See, that's how I feel about the place. I'd truly rather spend the money to go elsewhere. Glad I'm not the only one!There is no excuse for the waste of money. But I can tell you it is under new management this year. I can't remember the company's name but a new one bought it and they are making lots of changes. Like if I understand it correctly you want be allowed to smoke in the park anymore. And other changes as well. Sorry you had such a awful time.

I had mine out in December 2004 right after Christmas I was actually in the emergancy room on Christmas morning. I just had my second baby on 10/28/04. Right after that I started having attacks. Those are the worst. The first time I had one I thought I was having a heart attack at 28. The second one was Thanksgiving night I started having chest pains, nausea, vomiting, diareha, and no matter what I did it wouldn't go away. I went to a doctor here in Dallas off of 278 and he told me I had indigestion. Boy he had it all wrong.

Yeah I keep my husband or daughter isolated to one part of the house if either one of them are sick. My little man is 15 months now but I still take all the procautions like LYSOL works wonders and no matter how much it dries your hands out wash,wash,wash. So far this has worked for me. At least for the past 15 months.

I have lived here for 29 years my whole life and I have always loved it here. I really hate to cummute I only drive to Marietta and it takes me an hour and a half to get to work and back. It use to never be like this and I have been making this cummute for almost 8 years. Our county is just not equipt to handle all the traffic. I just wish they would slow down the construction of all the subdivisions. Sorry everyone just had to get that out.
I do love my county and I've always been proud to be a resident. There is no place like Dallas. I mean Paulding County.

I've got one my daughter had a stomach virus. She got up off the tolet to throw up and while she was trowing up in the tolet she had projectile diarrhea. Try cleaning that off the wall. Talking about gaging I still to this day get sick thinking about that.

Oh there boys clothes ranging from newborn to 12 months. He is now 14 months old. I would rather have that any way. It seems to be easier.

I saw something in the Dallas New Era a couple of weeks ago that there are plans for a memorial service for the 30 year anniversary. Does anyone have any information regarding this? I really would like to go.
