my wife heard from somebody that there was a new gas company that is based in texas but now they're here .and somehow you got to go to a meeting or something and you have to pay a little money to join and you watch a video and they tell you all about this money making deal they have , supposedly they have the lowest price per therm right now on natural gas and they actually have people that works on gas stuff just like the other companys , i know i did'nt explain it good but there having a meeting like this weekend over in seven hills on cedearcrest , the way i took it was it kinda sounded like a pyramid type of thing but they swear it ain't , just wondering if anybody else has heard about such a thing or has any more info on it .

I heard an employee of Etowah HS in Cherokee county passed away from it last week. My aunt works there and spoke with him last week and he was feeling better just only complaining of a scratchy throat. She was out the rest of the week with it and heard at the beginning of this week that he had passed away. This is some scarey stuff.
Coach Green was the Athletic Director at Etowah High. He was an Assistant Principal at HHS previously, so there are ties to our county. I have had many students out with severe flu-like symptoms. I have to say that I also wipe down my classroom daily with clorox wipes, and spray lysol every morning and afternoon. I've use this same routine at home. So far, we haven't been hit too hard, and there's six of us. My oldest kids had a couple of days of nausea and vomiting, the little ones only aches -- so, I figure if it works at home, it will work in my classroom. So far, so good.

I have search for Jerry Smith Funeral Home and can't find it. Can someone tell me if this is where Coach Green is at and if its in Woodstock? Trying to get directions. Thanks if someone can help.
Information concerning the funeral arrangements is available on the Etowah High School website. According to the school's home page, the Woodstock Funeral Home is in charge of services. I am providing the link which includes directions. Maybe this will help.

I have to tell you that after reading this thread I was extremely concerned. My elderly parents live in Lawrence Ridge SD just off Paul Aiken Road. My mother called me about 5:00 and said that she was on the way to the ER with my dad -- believed that he may be experiencing a heart attack. I left immediately after reading this to discover that the house on fire is three doors down from my mom's and dad's. While I am extremely relieved to know that my parent's house is ok, I feel for the owners of the other house. The place is very busy with emergency personnel and onlookers. Need to stay away, if possible. As we were turning around my mom called and asked me to let her dog out. Couldn't get close enough to do this. Prayers are lifted up for all involved.

Hey! Thanks for all the kind words. I speak for all the family, we so appreciate it. Grandmama is doing so well. We are all so proud of her! Granddaddy will be missed, but we all know he is resting peacefully by that river, or maybe running up and down those streets since he hasn't ran in a very long time!

From the hotel you take a left out of the parking lot, take your first right (can't remember the name of the road) and follow it to the main intersection, take a right. Gwinnett Center is about 3 miles on the left.

Actually, the hotel was just recently renovated by Hyatt Hotels. The rooms were very nice.

AmeriSuites Hotel is awesome. My daughter and I stayed there in February. It was really nice and an easy drive to the Gwinnett Center. It's about a 5 minute drive.

I received my last update from family about an hour ago. One teen and grandfather remain in ICU. The other teen is in a room at Grady. He is experiencing some pain in his chest and they are looking in to the cause.

My brother, who lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan will be coming to Atlanta for a medical conference May 29 - May 31. And, he is finally going to marry his fiance of six years. They have both been married previously and only want a very small ceremony while they are in town for this conference. I have checked with two ministers and they have previous engagements. They would like to have a small ceremony at my mom's house, in Dallas, with family and local friends Saturday, May 31 (late afternoon or early evening). Any suggestions? Please send me a PM or an email with your suggestions. I promised I would see what I could do.
