  5. SEVERE WEATHER THREAT STILL REMAINS ACROSS GEORGIA FOR YOUR WED. NOW THE TIMING IS STILL THE MAIN FACTOR IN THIS SYSTEM BUT WE WANT TO HIGHLY REMIND YOU THAT WITH HIGH SHEAR VALUES WE CAN NOT RULE OUT ANY TORNADO'S. THE MAIN THREAT TO THIS SYSTEM WILL BE STRAIGHT LINE DAMAGING WINDS UP TO 60 TO 70 MPH OR HIGHER. BELOW IS THE GRAPHICS THAT IS ABLE TO SHOW YOU THE AREAS IN THE THREAT AREA.

  8. OK Folks things are getting real Here this is starting to become a severe weather outbreak for this Tue and Wed Please share with everyone the Information. Very strong Shear will be in Place that will Provide Tornado's with this coming system.   11. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected Wednesday into Wednesday night, and some storms will be strong and possibly severe. Although there are some uncertainties in the strength and specific timing of the storms, confidence is increasing.   13. Indeed we did not see much Happening Which is a Good thing Our Weather station took a hit on a Full system failure and had the back up station running to Answer Questions and able to Post the Latest Graphics. I think A lot of Kids was Really upset for sure.
  14. THE WEAK FRONT THAT MOVED INTO THE AREAFROM THE NORTH AND SPREADING PRECIP SOUTHWARD. THIS RAIN WAS HELPINGTO REINFORCE THE WEDGE OF COLD AIR OVER NE GA. THE AREA THAT HASBEEN HARDEST HIT HAS BEEN EAST OF I75 AND NORTH OF I20. NOW THE ONETHING THAT IS HELPING THE SITUATION IS THE AIR MASS ALREADY IN PLACEOVER GA IS STILL FAIRLY DRY.TEMPERATURES SATURDAY WILL APPROACH SEASONAL NORMS WITH 50S AND 60S ACROSS THE AREA.
  15. Precipitation will develop across north Georgia late Thursday night and Friday. Very cold air trapped along the east side of the Appalachians will spread into the state and likely cause the precipitation to fall as freezing rain and sleet with ice accumulations up to 1/4".   17. Good Morning Paulding County. Cold Start this morning and keeping these cold temps around for a little while longer. Ok now to the Friday Morning Event Coming up. AN ARCTIC AIRMASS WILL BE MOVING INTO THE EASTERN HALF OF THE UNITED STATES ON THURSDAY SETTING UP A COLD AIR WEDGE ACROSS NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA. AT THE SAME TIME MOISTURE FROM THE WEST AND SOUTHWEST IS EXPECTED TO RISE UP AND OVER THE COLD AIR AT THE SURFACE. THE COMBINATION OF THESE INGREDIENTS WILL SET THE STAGE FOR POSSIBLE FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET OVERNIGHT THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. AREAS NORTH OF A
  18. Right now all the Models are still agreeing on this event. The Main Problems with the Models During freezing rain or snow is due to the Shallow Cold air that will be in Place Friday Morning. Our Data from the 00z Models indicate .06 inches of ice at this time, Which is a small amount but still cause Problems. In the Morning we will be going over the New Data from the 06z Models that will show us on a Skew-t Chart what we are looking at as in Moisture Content so i will re-post in the A.M.
