  1. I dont have time to grow my own this year,,, I need apples , pears, and tomytoes,,,

I also want to try another pomegranite,, the last one I got took me a week to eat it,, I keep it in tin foil in the frigerator.

There is a little fruit stand on Hwy 381, just before the 4 way stop. It's called Crossroads Kuntry Market. They are supposed to be closing at the end of the month, but they may be able to tell you the best place to get what you need if you're wanting to buy bulk. The sign in the store said they are willing to give discounts on bulk purchases, so now may be the best time to check them out.

  2. My husband is exactly 3 months older than I am. We started dating when I was 15 and he was 16. High school sweethearts! We married, after dating almost 2 and half years, at 18 yrs old. We had our 1st child at 18 for me and 19 for him. Our second we were 21. Third and Fourth (twins) 4 yrs later. We have had some rough times, financially and otherwise, but overall it has been GREAT! We are young enough to play with our children and grow with them, but I want things better for my children. I don't want them to have to struggle to support a family, like we did in our earlier years. Things are alot different than they were 15 yrs ago. I have, hopefully, (they say I have) made them understand that you can't get along in today's world without an education. The only thing I would change is I always wanted to further my education, which I finally plan on doing this year at 33yrs old! But I would never change the hardships, because that is what has made us the people we are today. And we can honestly tell our children "We've been there and done that and it's not as much fun as you think it is!" But this is not going to keep them from making their own mistakes and learning from them, but they know they can always come to Mom and Dad about ANYTHING.

Thanks for the great postings all, I have truly enjoyed it.

  3. Ok, I have got to put in my 2 cents worth..

I disagree with parents who spend their money on lotto instead of feeding and clothing their children!! Your children should always come before a "chance to win big".

I also disagree with those who down the Lotto, but don't think twice about taking advantage of the scholarship or Pre-K programs that come from Lotto revenues!!

I will buy a ticket or three here and there, but my children are always fed and clothed, and my bills are paid.

    (P.S. My trailor hasn't turned green yet..LOL)

  4. My hubby fishes Pumpkinvine Creek alot. Good quiet spot he's found to get away from me and kids and "fish with God". He says there are some good sized fish in there. Years ago, there used to be a little fishing pay lake off of BoBo road, not sure if its still in open or not. Best of luck to you.

  5. I can think of about a dozen kids right off hand who would, I'm sure, be willing to help do anything to help you get this project going (and a few parents as well). And as for the liability, the children's parents sign a liability clause just like every other skate park. May not clear up every problem, but would clear up most. Good luck and God Bless!

  6. This stuff is garbage. I work in the public and you see all kinds "geeked" up on this stuff. Meth is EVERYWHERE. I have family members and old friends that are hooked on meth. It has the ability to turn the kindest, most gentle person into the worse kind of person you've ever seen. They can lie straight to your face, while stealing from you behind your back. :excl: You know there is a problem when your child can explain to you what it is and how its used. :excl:
