The Roku that I was shown was a little box that sat on top of the TV and it had the red white and yellow cables.....just like my dvd player has....and my TV in the living room has this....

Well that's interesting........but I understand with ROKU Box...you don't even need a PC....just wireless.......I don't have a spare PC....just my laptop.....I do understand that you have to buy a subscription to Netflix if you want the new movies..it almost 8.00 dollars a month...cheaper than my cable bill....but they have free movies to watch without paying anything.....plus TBN has 7 channels to watch with ROBU box and I can only get one right now with cable....ALSO TBN has a TV program for children "Smiles for a Child" and I would love to have that program for my 5 year old niece to watch

The reason I started this topic cause I heard that people are dropping their cable and direct TV by the record numbers and using ROKU box....so I wanted to jump in on it cause I want to save money too...and not be limited to 10 channels of COMMERCIALS......and my cable people keep dropping my channels like flies and I am fed up......so I just wanted to know if anyone else is using this and if it would be worth 60.00......You can go get a wireless box at wall-mart for hardly nothing....its no big deal.....just stick your cable cord in it and it does the rest......and Plus I watch LIVE STREAMING

This person told me.....you have to have internet........but I have WIFI (wireless) so all I have to do is buy the box and it takes 6 min....hook up the box to my tv (just like I would do for my dvd player)it will find my wireless....and boom there you have it........They been using it for almost a year and they love it....more and more channels have been added to it since they started.....

I believe the TV in my bed room can be hooked up using my laptop.....the LIVE streaming I use, it's not a TV station....its guest speakers that hook up LIVE STREAMING and I am able to go to their web site and click on their link and get LIVE STREAMING....not really sure if that can be done on REAL TV or not...just something to ponder.....just wondering if anyone else use LIVE STREAMING....it would be great if I could do that......I will try to hook up today and see what happens....thanks for that information.....

I spoke to someone last night that has a Roku box on every TV in their home.....and they also use it for Netlflix...but also they have plenty of other channels to watch for free....they get channels that I don't even get when I had the basic extension.....I also have the 10.00 a month cable but my cable supplier keeps dropping more and more channels . I notice yesterday they dropped two more....and this person that I spoke to doesnt even have cable.....they have internet wireless ....

Thank you for that information.........I have cable but I hardly ever turn my TV on....Most of the shows I do watch, I watch on my laptop live streaming....I thought maybe if I bought the box I could watch my live streaming over the TV....But when I have company I would like to at least have some other movies for them to watch as well.....I know more and more channels are going live streaming and I have lots of choices.....It was just an idea to see what would work best for me....Thanks again

Has anyone bought or is using this Roku box instead of cable........? Just wondering how they like it.... I heard people are disconnecting their cable and direct tv and using this box to watch live streaming using WiFi internet on their TV sets...........box is like for 60.00 ..

You may just want to write out a check to the cause.....jmo...I know how you feel...I don't mind helping someone out...but I've been scammed before......can't be too careful these days.... You seem like a very nice person and I wouldnt want that to happen to you....

I just want to say........I LOVE MY NOSIE ROSEY NEIGHBOR.............Don't nothing get past her....she watches my house like a hawk......I left my house the other day to run to the store....I got not even a mile away....she calls me on my cell phone to tell me I left my garage door open.....I just love her.....LOL.....A friend stop by last week....she calls me to tell me he left his lights on....LOL...Now how is that for service...........
