  1. Blondiega1 - I should lend you my copy of Lost & Found. In all honesty, it is the book that started my lab love. If I could bring your Coco home with me I would. I've been debating adopting another dog (a lab), but... I am not sure if my Mayla would allow me to. First things first,I seriously need to find my kitty and a job. -.-; I am having no luck.

I'm always up for a good read! As long as it's not going to make my cry.

I can't handle animals or small children getting hurt!

And you can't have my Coco!!! LOL

Did you see Petiquette's post for help??

That looks like it'd be right up your alley!

  2. I haven't started the Dark Tower books yet, but they are on my list. <3

    Who are your other favorites?

I will probably skip over 50 shades. xD What is Code of Misconduct by Griffith about?

I have listened to some of 11/22/63 and it was the only audio book I have ever been pulled into. However, I would still rather read it. <3

You will LOVE the Dark Tower series!!!

They are TRUELY King's best work.

I like Dean Koontz too, but he tends to tie things up in a nice neat little bow at the end of the book.

King's will left evil happen just because it sometimes does!

    Koontz's best work is Intensity.

That book will have you SPEEDING through it!!

You won't be able to put it down!!

I also like Anne Rice's Vampire stories.

She can be a diffcult read at times, but I love the vampire stories.

    Vampires are hott!

  3. Erotica isn't my thing. I can barely stand the romantic suspense novels...anything too detailed I can't really get into... at least as far as erotica is concerned.

Have you read 11/22/63 or Bag of Bones yet?

I am loving Bag of Bones so far, and looking forward to 11/22/63.

    I don't think you'd like 50 Shades then. It's VERY detailed.

Honey, I've read them all! Bag of Bones was not a favorite by 11/22/63 is great!

    King at his best!!

My favorite series of his is The Dark Tower books.

Oh how I miss Roland, Jake, Eddie, Susannha, and even Oy.

  4. My to-read list at the moment is just huge. It includes at least 20 books I want to finish before the release of Karin Slaughters new book 'Criminal' in July.

They range from Emily Giffin to Stephen King to John Saul to a bunch of others. Truthfully 5 of them are Emily Giffin alone...and another 5 or 6 are King's books. xD

One big question that I have is... 50 Shades of Grey...should I even attempt the first book in the trilogy? Curiosity is a killer, I know. If I give it a try, I am gonna have to make myself finish it...and truthfully, I don't have a lot of interest in it, just curiosity.

Another is... who are your favorite authors and why? What are your favorite books?

I've read everything King has written, literally EVERYTHING.

    He's my favorite.

    As for 50 Shades......I read all 3.

Only because BY GOD I PAID FOR THEM I was GOING to read them!!

    The writing is awful.

There's only so many kinky sex scenes one can take before you're like "give me a little story here please!"

It's a little like trying to read bad porn.

Heavy on sex, weak on story line.

If your into erotica, mayhap you'd like the books.

I know a lot of people did, but not me.

  5. Have you read any Anne Rice books? Historical paranormal. I read The Witching Hour, Lasher, and Taltos...in that order. They are chronological. A lot of detail to remember during the book but the story is interesting.

Recently read the 10 books by James Patterson of the Women's Mystery Murder Club. Chronological as well. Murder mystery..duh. :D

Yep. Read all the Anne Rice "Interview with a Vampire" series.

She can be a tough read sometimes.

  6. If you enjoy Murder-Mystery check out anything by Karin Slaughter...they all eventually tie together, but I can't remember the name of her first book.

For fantasy/romance I recommend the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlene Harris.

I also liked Lost & Found by Jacqueline Sheehan. She wrote another called Now & Then, but it just wasn't as good to me.

11/22/63 by Steven King is proving to be very worth reading, though I haven't finished it yet.

I could go on and on. :)

I've read everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING Stephen King as written.

11/22/63 is King at his best. LOVED IT!!

  7. Now that I FINALLY managed to get through the 50 Shades series, I'm in need of something new to read.

    (worse $24 I ever spent)

I'm open to all recommendations and genres!!

    Whacha reading out there??

  8. PM me and I'll tell you what about my job.

Working from home servicing customers for dot.com companies.

Spanish speaking agents always make a little more.

And "The Happiest Place on Earth" world's largest theme park is currently looking for spanish/english speaking reps.
