  1. Good point. Too many thing they should get a paycheck for showing up. They don't understand that you have to be able to *do* the trades to make yourself worth the big bucks that expert plumbers/steelworkers/etc get.

Heck, most of the folks I know can't even get someone who will show up daily, and on time!

Even Jenilyn has posted of FB that her husband, in the landscaping business, has trouble getting good reliable help.

What happened to getting a job and the excelling at it?? Or for heaven's sake, just be there daily and on time!

  2. Construction business going to have another kick around here.

We're trying to get a small addition (100K) built onto our church, can't find anybody interested in doing a job that small, everyone we talk to is swamped.

I know several people that are in the construction industry.

It is booming right now and they are turning away work simply because they can't get employees.

Hard to find good, reliable, honest guys who are willing to work construction.

  3. Yes Expansion of the tunnels. They are working on the tunnel from the Airport Entrance to Roses Store / New Fred's / Airport Remote Parking Deck entrance.

    ABOUT TIME!!

I'm looking forward to the commute options to the airport.

I'm unclear whether the animals being kept in the trailer overnight in moderate temperatures (60-70 degrees F) would invoke the cruelty charges? Provided the animals were quiet, what is the difference between them in 3x5 foot cages in a vets office overnight and the bunch/family/pack being in an 120 square-foot room (the 8 x 15 trailer) provided they were watered and fed? No one would have complained in the animals were in his house or other similar sized room or shelter.

Ventilation and tha ability to keep cool.

  5. The Weather Channel is showing temps going from 33 to 38 between 9 AM and about 5 PM tomorrow. How is it they are saying snow and sleet? That's too warm for it.

It doesn't have to be below 32 to snow.

It can still snow, and if it comes down heave enough, it starts to stick to itself, lowering the ground temp,

I'm no expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

  6. Tomorrow is going to be the worst part of a system coming up from the South.

There may be school tomorrow, but they may have to let out early, depending on the temps.

We're on the line above I-20 and we're supposed to get sleet and snow worse than today.

Hopefully they will just cancel all toghet and prevent another possible repeat of last year.

If you're just going to have to release at noon anyway, save the resources and just let them stay home.

Glad mine are grown and school isn't a concern, but I worry about my grown children out driving to work and of course the grandkids.

Wee weeing is a natural thing also and like many men, I like to wee wee outside.

I have decided that since I like to wee wee outside, I am going to do so when ever I want.

I can be just as selfish as the rest of the people today.

(only bad thing is, what if I do wee wee in public and nobody notices :( )

Dude, you're how old and saying "wee wee"??

  8. There is always going to be people without any social skill, it is not just the breastfeeders.

I have seen several ladies breastfeeding in public. In all cases they were very modest and had a blanket or towel over them so you really did not know what was going on unless you took a closer look. They were not just standing around with their teets hanging out.

    And that's the bottom line.

People have no social skills anymore, it's all about me and mine.
