  1. I know Tom Cable. I don't socialize with him as you may well do, but I have dealt with him several times. I also know that if looks could kill, I would now be dead, so please forgive me if I do not describe Tom in glowing terms that you so flatteringly use. As a matter of fact, I know several who could help educate you on the many sides of Tom Cable that others have gotten to know, but I don't expect that you would be interested in views that contradict your own. I will also offer you the benefit of the doubt. Though I am sure it will get me nowhere.
  2. News Flash: Americans trying to spread the word about their attempt to save their homes from the unscrupulous among US is NOT A POLITICAL FLYER. IT IS AN ALARM THAT ALL SHOULD HEAR!!!!!! Call it what it is. That's what I like to do. And from reading one of your other posts, I suspect that you might be feeling put upon by some in this electronic torture chamber that most people call social media, and I am certain that my words have contributed to your unease. And for that, I am truly sorry. I know what it feels like to be hurt by other people's words and I can't tell you how badly I feel t
  3. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhh. I'm so scared. And feeling a lot like I'm back in the 3rd grade. Grow up.
  4. Yes, seriously. I know people at the end of the runways who have sunk their life savings into that home and if the value of goes down, down, down thanks to the airport and 737s whizzing overhead, that will hurt them and their future. I've long said that I could your new best friend or your worst Fing nightmare. Your choice. And you can bite me.
  5. Yes. That's what the current fight is about. Big planes going in and out every day over the homes of the people at the end of the runways. Their lives will be destroyed, their homes will be worth nothing and a whole lot of people in this county could not possibly care less.
  6. Yes, destroying people for fun and profit is very sad. And Perhaps more would be supporting of the view of the Airport Lovers if it weren't for the tactics of the people who support the airport. No, thank you. This is a free country last time I checked and I can speak my mind anywhere I chose to do so. You back the hell up.
  7. Many of the people I know who oppose the airport aren't doing it just to annoy you and your holier than thou crowd. They do it because they are fighting for their financial lives and the futures of their children during the holiday season. It wasn't the people who live around the airport who chose the time to release the information that there will soon be 747's flying over their homes. Many of us fighting the airport already face the reality of having our tax dollars spent to lower the value of our homes, so paying a fee to hand out free information to our fellow citizens seems like a little
  8. Oh, yes, much better to load the kids up with sugar. I understand completely why the holier-than-thou crowd wouldn't want any evil pieces of paper handed out with actual information on it. I understand their fear of the evil paper with words...knowledge to the people is power to the people and BB wouldn't want that!! FEAR THE PAPER WITH WORDS....you might learn something.
  9. I am not sure you are capable of understanding, possibly because you don't want to understand. At multiple meetings, I have heard a prayer that thanked Jesus for giving us this airport. and then AFTER THE PRAYER more than one person on the Airport Authority called it "GOD'S AIRPORT". period. are you capable of understanding that? And if you really think that this is God's Airport, God help you. You need it.
  10. Calling this airport "God's Airport" is repulsive. By calling it "God's Airport", they are saying in effect that God is on their side and anyone who doesn't like their airport is not on God's side and I find that repulsive and disgusting.
  11. Try to pay attention here...I didn't call it God's Airport. THEY DID. Multiple times. And if you think God told them he wanted an airport ...I'll pray for you because you need help. Also, I am not discussing their motives. I am reporting that multiple times in my presence Airport Authority members referred to this airport as "GOD'S AIRPORT". . Ah, I see...I apologize. But let me ask you...if I owned a gas station and called it God's Gas Station, don't you think I would believe myself to be doing God's work? Calling this airport "God's Airport" is blasphemous.
  12. I NEVER said they said they were doing God's work. YOU said that. I said that they call it God's Airport and they have done so many times. Whether you like it or not.
  13. Almost every Airport Authority meeting I have ever attended, BEFORE I wrote about on the internet, multiple members of the Airport Authority called it "God's Airport" multiple times. Read the article at http://www.pauldingairport.us/pages/GodsAirport.html
  14. PUBBY SAYS: I have a reputation of being fair..." I SAY: Not at my house, you don't. HE SAID YESTERDAY WHEN WRITING ABOUT Citizens for a Better Paulding: "What I did was unacceptablemy ass. Sure the Church offered to let the commissioners host one ... afterthey discovered that the presentation, pitched as a open forum publicinformational effort was instead a home-cooked bit of propaganda." "running the mud machine'sspin cycle on high" "one-sided nature of the presentation" "Must have been talking totheir masters at Delta" "Note that when it comes tounacceptable behavior, I di
  15. How thoughtful of you to care about those most harmed by this airport. Thank you for opening your mind to the possibility that we are not just a few bad seeds trying to cause problems for no good reason. Too bad four commissioners, the Airport Authority and the Industrial Building Authority do not share your concern. Being an entrepreneur, I likewise support economic development. However, I have never been a fan of saying and doing ANYTHING to get what one wants. Again, I am not insinuating anything about you. I prefer the direct approach when expressing myself. What I find repulsive and
  16. No, my dear. I'm not insinuating anything. I am saying right out loud that people who seek to enrich themselves at the expense of others always have lackeys who help them get what they want by any means necessary.
  17. Poor Pubby, It's been 2 years since last we clawed at each other through our keyboards and you still haven't been able to locate your "journalistic integrity". Shame. BUT I commend you for finally giving up the pretense of "journalism". Your "so-called" investigation was riveting. Attacking blindly to support those whose economic teat is most profitable is so much easier than trying to gather facts and investigate to learn the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. And a quick note to LPPT: Pubby may GIVE his money to Democrats but he GETS his money from business owners in the
  18. Well....pubby....I just love what you've done with journalistic integrity. And your sage advice is so helpful. OH! I'm sorry. I meant UNhelpful. If there is one thing I have learned about the people in the county who love and promote this airport is that they don't care even one little bit about anyone who is harmed by their hobby. And I say hobby, because though we have long tried to learn exactly how much the airport is costing vs. making in profits, we have been unable to get a clear picture of the financial status of the airport. I had hoped that "journalists" like yourself would look into
  19. You really need to work on your metaphors. If the squeaky wheel was getting any grease, the county would have bought out the homeowners who have been damaged by this airport, instead of telling them "too bad". One squeaky wheel in the neighborhood has sued the county over the financial damage done to her family and I hope she wins. Then maybe we can ALL sue the county for damage done to us. Unfortunately, the county commissioners and airport manager just tells us to "get a lawyer" if we aren't happy with the damage they have done to our property values, etc. They know how much a lawyer costs a
  20. Yes, the airport is staying and I can see how happy you are about that. And let's be honest, your happiness is ALL that you care about. As long a you are happy, you don't care how many people get hurt...just so you're happy. You don't care how many people are damaged by this airport. And if you think that this airport is "an asset to everyone that lives in the county"...you are delusional. But if you'd like to come out here with your checkbook, I'm sure I could introduce you to a lot of neighbors that would like to take your money to help them get away from the airport.
  21. Newsflash!! I've been here 40 years and your beloved airport has been here for four years. It's three days but if you don't care about the inconvenience you cause your neighbors, as long as you are happy. And for your information, it is a 24-hour airport and frequently we have some jerk in a BIG NOISY helicopter that likes to fly in circles over my house while I am trying to sleep, usually between 11pm and midnight. So, if you don't know anything about the misery of an airport that was rammed down our throats, don't pontificate about how great it is.
  22. How do you figure that? Oh, so sorry. I forgot. If it's good for you, it's good. Right? Too bad they didn't build this damned in airport in your backyard instead of mine. Then we could both be happy. THAT would be awesome. YOU ARE SO RIGHT!
