They are all really cute. They remind me of the old sandals I used to wear as a kid except the old sandals had buckles and straps on the back. These are way better.

The houndstooth are really cute. Do they say Alabama anywhere? If not I'd like those instead of Georgia. Not that I have a problem with Alabama--just don't want my kids stomping my feet!

All I ask is that they are intact (all the parts are there). They don't need to be running though. I plan to run around on Wednesday and pick up as many decent shaped ones as i can to rebuild, since the basic push mowers are the most in demand right now.
Give me a call and shoot me your address if you'd like to have any push mowers removed, and I'll be glad to take them off your hands.

You know me--I can be "the mean lady" when I think I need to defend a kid. Who was that crazy lady yelling at the coach to put your kid in????? Sorry to you and Raiders Rock--mdolph and I worked it out and no more fighting here--at least not between the 2 of us.
No bets needed! K96W8 is a super nice person and I overstepped my boundaries. My comments were never meant personally towards this young man. I was speaking mainly in general how crazy and over the top some parents get with sports. I should have started a different thread if I wanted to complain as it really had nothing to do with this situation. Sorry guys! I'm learning as I go along. Good luck to the young guy wherever he plays! I hope he makes it to the pros!

Yay! I've finally sparked negativity with a comment. I was so tired of being Ms. Nice all the time! I'm not mad though. It's fun to disagree! Keeps life fun!
Nope, I don't know them. Nope, their life has no bearing whatsoever on mine or my kids lives. But, being that this is a public board I do have the right to give my view on things. And for the record my two sons are actually quite talented football and baseball players who have never had the benefit of private anything. They come by it naturally. Whether that will take them anywhere in the future I have no idea. My point was that I find it unbelievable that folks would move because of high school sports. I am quite aware that I am naive in this area as my children aren't to that point yet, but even if they are the most fantastic players in the world I can assure you we would not move for them to play ball. I know, I know. I sounded like a bitter old fart who whines about folks with money getting more out of life. Sorry! If people can afford to do those sorts of things for their kids more power to them. I've just been party to many a conversation that has me believing my kids won't have a chance to do anything if we don't play travel, do private lessons, etc., This bugs me because I think all kids should have a chance to be great, but these days it seems your only chance is if you can pay big bucks.
Again, no hard feelings on my part. Just giving my two cents. And it was not directed personally at any particular person, just my view of some of the stuff that goes on with sports as a whole.
If it was not directed personally at any particular person maybe you should have started another thread instead of commenting on this one that is about a particular person--a high school kid who may look at this and be a little hurt or offended.

WOW! And my scrawny little 12 year old just wants to play because he loves football more than anything in this world. I can't even fathom moving my family or renting a house in another district to give my child an advantage in sports. If that's how it's played out in the higher levels I guess my kids will never make it to the big time. It's sad to think that hard work and a heart for the game used to be what got a kid places. Now it's how much money mom and dad shell out for private lessons when they are eight, how many specialized camps you can afford to send your child to and I guess now who can best afford to move to a better school district. I know I sound snarky, but it chaps my fanny how today's athletes are built from the ground up by those who have the money. No, we can't afford to send our three kids to all of that stuff, but I sure want them to have the same chance as everyone else.
If your kid was a talented as this kid you might see things differently. Do you know this family? I don't think so since most of your comments are wrong. What they spend money on, where they live, or go to school really doesn't affect your kids chances in sports at all does it?

BTW - I've been looking on the website for East and I don't see any pictures of the player signings this year. Does anyone know when they will be posted?
This may not be posted on the website but it was in the paper last week. Kevin Olson signed to wrestle at Darton College. I'm sure you remember him from football.
