  1. My daughter just turned 13 so we are going on a special trip to Gatlinburg in a few weeks and her favorite aunt and Granddad are also joining us :) Then for the 4th of July we are all going to Orange Beach and my kids are so excited because their cousins are coming too! Other than that we'll be hitting up a lot of the free movies in Hiram while helping the food bank :)

  2. We bought it at Target. They had a three disc combo for 17.99. It has extra scenes, interviews, and a code for soundtrack downloads. I told my kids they couldn't see the movie until they read the book. The movie was out of theaters by the time they all finished. I still came out smelling like a rose because the DVD was MUCH cheaper than taking a family of 5 to the theater.

I'll be getting it for my bday in a few weeks WOOHOO!

and getting together with a bunch of friend's this Saturday night to watch it! B)

  3. awesome just called Due West and placed my order....darn now that I think about it should have asked how big they were....I didn't actually speak to Lee though, I believe he will call me back to confirm probably....

  4. I know, that's where hubby had it the first time while he was working out of town. I guess I will have to go buy out Burgers.

i just saw this at um.....I think it was Kroger's.....I've heard of it on food network....I'll try it if I can get it on sale

  5. I'm really wanting ot have my sons first bday party here as our whole family loves the park and I will have a bunch of little ones needing somewhere to run around....my only thing is I'm nervous about sending out the invites etc. and not having open tables when I get there?

Anyone else have this problem before?

Any suggestions on how to make sure i get a few tables? I'm afraid if I do it during the week most will not be able to come.

Are there any other really nice parks similar not too far from this location? I'm pretty close to Cobbcounty and most of the guests are from Cobb/powdersprings area.

    thanks :)

  6. Attention Old Stilesboro and Maplewood residents:

There is a public hearing next week regarding rezoning an area of land on Old Stilesboro Road across from the entrance of the Maplewood Subdivision. They are planning to build 3 buildings; two buildings will be 3 stories high.

A public hearing will be next Tuesday at 2:00pm.

Location: Paulding County Chamber of Commerce, 455 Jimmy Campbell Parkway, Dallas

Anyone concerned about traffic at Old Stilesboro and 92?

Three (3) stories in a residential neighborhood?

I'm definately concerned, been concerned with the traffic that is going to come from the school on that road also :( Sure they'll do something like put lights in ya' would think....

what they heck are they going to put there?!?!

  7. Definately want to take my kids this summer......but I have an 8 month old too, do they allow baby floats in the pool, I couldn't find anything on the site about pool toys etc......

    thanks so much!

  8. The Pizza here at vito's is great. It's on a ciabatta crust not to thick not to thin. Our pizza is made with our family sause . Not greasy just great tasting pizza. We are located at 10175 Dallas Acworth Hwy. In the new plaza next to the Gym. If you go on www.myvitoscafe.com you can see pictures of the place and pull up our menu. Hope to see you soon.

yep just went last Friday, pizza was very good and reasonably priced, gellato(sp?) was VERY good! the place very nice and relaxing, I'm look'n foward to going for coffee Wednesday :) I got 10% off too for mentioning Paulding.com!!!

  9. Is that where Little Gumba's used to be on 92? I never saw more than one car there if that many anytime we passed it, same when it was Little Gumba's.

yes, guess just not enough advertisement, because pizza was good :)

  10. Yes ~ ate lunch there the day it opened and it was good!!!

We live across the street, I definately have been meaning to go in and try the Gelato....the signs they put up on the road was a good idea, that is what got me to notice it more...hmmm just looked at the menu, Gelato is a little pricey for my whole family to go, may have to make a trip there once school starts lol Do the price of the sandwiches include chips??

  11. hmm...that seems also close to the new Publix at Governor's square.....guess it'll save me 3 minutes though

I would LOVE to see an icecream shop go in!!! I've been telling dh ever since we moved here there aren't any close enough for us(near RussomElementary) to just get up and go to on a whim....which is usually how we decide to eat our icecream :p

  12. We were there yesterday.....I think the sigh said:

    Mon - Sat 12:00 - 6:00 Sun 12:00 - 5:00

I didn't have to pay to get in, I just told them that I wasn't going to swim. It was $3.00 for each kid.

It is outdoors and I would suggest taking a chair. They do have a covered area with picnic tables, but I didn't see any chairs. I would also suggest taking a cooler with snacks and drinks.

    Thanks :D
