A lot of liberals are in denial. They are socialists in their beliefs and more than a few, like Mr. Soros, are dyed in the wool Communists. Eddie is OK with liberals who make his lot in life easier so that he won't have to rely on himself. Anyone who expects the government to take care of him is well represented by the pig in Eddie's picture. Of course, we all realize that Eddie's picture really shows his envy of those who are more successful than he has been. He wants a liberal government to take some of that success/wealth and give it to him. This is true greed.

Those who work harder, have skills and talents that are in demand will be more successful in the workplace. It is NOT the responsibility of government to level the playing field.

Maybe some of what you say is true. Many people love working at Walmart. Like Guard Dad said, there are those who work there because they are limited by their skills. Anyone who wants a better job should make sure that their skills meet the minimum requirements of the job description. Better skills only happen with hard work.

Too many people in this country spend their valuable time being envious of what others have rather than working hard to improve their own lot in life. They are the true losers and are cheating only themselves by not doing their best to leverage their talents and skills. As far as helping is concerned, my wife and I believe in helping others but only in ways that we decide. We do not believe the government should be involved in any kind of charity. We give through the Catholic church and pass on the big charities like United Way.

I guess being diabetic is "relatively" healthy. Kaiser is an HMO and, therefore, you choose a Primary Care Physician. All referrals must be handled by your PCP. I NEVER found this to be a limitation in my 14 years with Kaiser. If they were an option in Florida - where we'll be moving next month - I would enroll with Kaiser again without any hesitation.
