  1. I think what this is Romney, by defining the middle class as only those earning $200,000-250,000/yr, he can then justify giving them the same tax break as he gives the wealthy.

Since if you make below $200,000 a year, that means you're not middle class, you're lower class and since the lower class is sucking all the wealth of the nation through welfare, food stamps, home mortgage deductions, and other similar give-aways and tax loopholes ... he as the defender of the middle and upper class, are justified in raising taxes on ALL those lower class folks earning less than $200,000.

I mean, all we are are welfare queens, freeloaders and pawns.

PS: You got to know if you make $20 million/yr ... $200,000 is really chump change worthy of dolts and chumps ... so these folks have to be middle class.

I thought the millionaire/billionaires($250K or more a year) where sucking all the wealth from the country because they did not pay their "fair share". Which one is it?

    Damn Nazis.

  2. Pan vet ... I'm sure Warren Buffet, whose income is in the millions per day, has to spend every bit of it on food.

    Fuzzy math removed.

Right, because Warren Buffet never buys anything else other then food.

A 7%, or what ever rate, tax is still a 7% tax for everyone regardless of income.

  3. Investopedia explains Regressive Tax

"Some examples include gas tax and cigarette tax. For example, if a person has $10 of income and must pay $1 of tax on a package of cigarettes, this represents 10% of the person's income. However, if the person has $20 of income, this $1 tax only represents 5% of that person's income."

Of course what they fail to consider is if a person has $20 of income then they are more likely to buy twice as much as the person who has $10. If you have $100 income you are more likely to buy even more. Thus paying more in taxes or equal if based on their income percentage.

Either way they still pay the exact same amount of tax on the item that they buy. Liberals like to make you think that a low income person is some how going to have to pay MORE tax then the high income earner for the same item. It is just not factually true.

  4.

The rules were explained pretty well above. I just hate the constant changing of the rules. Especially, when they only effect one race and are announced less than a week prior to the race. There has been much criticism of NASCAR and they're earning more, not for particular rules, but for the sneaky implementation.

The qualifying rules and the Duals have been the same for years. The only changes they have made this year was to the cars to slow them down and limit the amount of constant drafting.

  5. I understand that is the rule. My point is isn't that rule putative? Everybody else gets another chance to qualify in the duels. Isn't junior effectively being punished for winning? Shouldn't he be given the opportunity to qualify his second car just like everyone else? This is allowed in other forms of racing with multiple qualifying sessions.

It makes sense when there is just one qualifying run, but not at Daytona if a front row car wrecks before the duels. JMHO

My understanding is this, the front row is locked in during qualifying. The 2nd row is locked in by the winners of the Duels. All those who are already locked into the race by top 35 in points then start based on their qualifying positions. Of those not locking into the race via points there is 3 spots they can get during qualifying to get into the race. There is a previous champion spot and the rest who did not make it into the race via qualifying can race for the final 4 slots in the duels.

So your sort of right, if you blow it in qualifying and not already locked into the race you do get a second chance to get into the race with the Duels. But since Jr was already locked into the race his finish in the Duels would have no affect.

If any of the other top 35 in points went to a back up car or changed the engine they would also be relegated to the back of the line.

  6. I'm surprised "that" kind of store would come to Hiram. I suspect the elected officials aren't too happy about it, but I'm not sure what they could do to stop it. It's disgusting to me and won't be going there.

Next thing you know, we'll have a Boomers style nightclub. Sick.

They are not to happy because they might be caught in there.

  7. The 400 toll actually took in enough money to pay for its construction in two years. GA DOT has been milking the profits and making minimum payments on the bond. This is a much bigger tax than Sonny wants anyone to know about.

Reality is this has nothing to do with Republicans or Democrats. Whoever is the majority is not going to give up their cash cow no matter what.

I don't hear any Democrats going out and saying to give up the money from 400.
