  1. New Georgia Baptist Church does still have Pre-K for 3 and 4 year olds, as well as Kindergarten for 5 year olds. Great Program. Give them a call, I do not remember it being that expensive. Edited to add: They are located at the corner of Hwy 61 and Ridge Road. Sounds Close to you.
  2. Shakin' the bush boss, shakin' the bush - Cool Hand Luke Goose, I think its time to buzz the tower - Top Gun I'm your Huckleberry - Tombstone You'll shoot your eye out - A Christmas Story
  3. This is the exact point I was trying to make. This seems to have happened to many "new" restaurants that have started in this area. I love supporting the local businesses, and many times you get a higher quality product. I just hope that they are able to "manage" the success and build upon it.
  4. The burger does sound tasty! I started to ask for the owner last night. However, he came in from a delivery and went directly to the kitchen to help get caught up. I did not want to delay anyone else's food any longer for something that he could not do anything about at the time. My comment was more a suggestion for them to look ahead and potentially staff a little different.
  5. I have read alot lately about The Dugout Restaurant and have to admit their food has been excellent everytime we have eaten it. However, I see the same trend here as many other "great" small restaurants that have been in our area. Great food but the service leaves a little to be desired. I hope the point I am making is not mistaken and taken the wrong way. The people that work here are very friendly, welcoming and nice. However, it seems they can get overwhelmed very easy. I stopped by last night to place a to go order (largely because of the thread about the new Blondie Blue Burger) and
  6. Call Jason at Dallas Auto Repair. The number is 770-445-3405 and they are located on Highway 61 between Paulding County High School and Highway 278, right next to the old Grand's Convenience Store. They do quality work and I have never had a problem with them. Their website is www.dallasautorepairinc.com and you can check out the testimonials section to see the level of work they perform. They have been in business in the Dallas area for about 30 years.

We went last night. The Band Perry put on a REALLY good show. However, the Girl that sang the National Anthem was from Paulding County. I believe her name was Allison Browning...Dude she tore it up! Awesome Job Allison!
  8. I believe it closed sometime in the late 80's...
  9. There was DEFINATELY a Might Caseys at the corner of Thornton and Maxham Road where Wendy's now sits. I used to eat there quite often.
  10. In case anyone is interested, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church is currently doing sign ups for Middle School Basketball Upward Teams (Boys and Girls 7th and 8th Grade). The Middle School teams will be playing Full Court Basketball. They also have Basketball and Cheerleading for (k-6th Grade) that play on short courts. The Church is located at 2433 Brownsville Road, Powder Springs and the number is 770-942-8126. Practices begin around the first of December and the Games begin on January 7, 2012.
  11. Does the new tune up include the same service you would receive with the July Special? In reading the title it says Heat and AC tune up? Just confused?
  12. Wow, good to know that because I take an interest in sporting activities and spend money on them that i am a goof-off! I can almost guarantee that Academy Sports will have more revenues in 2 quarters (6 months) than that Kroger store did in a full year of retail sales. Sales Tax Revenue in the bank for Paulding County. I also know that many people that live in Cobb, Douglas and Polk Counties will be visiting Academy for Hunting and Fishing Equipment since the closest retail area that has any decent selection of those items is located in Duluth or Leeds, Alabama (Bass Pro). Oh well, Go
  13. They have a great selection! Have a great day!
  14. ivylove, We do not have to agree! I will definately patronize the NEW Academy Sports but never shopped in the Kroger that was in that location. You probably shopped at the Kroger and will not patronize the Academy Sports. Isn't it great to live in America where we have choices? I can tell by reading the previous post's that you obviously liked the Kroger. Hopefully you will find somewhere that is an enjoyable experience for grocery shopping again. I know I will enjoy shopping for sporting goods at Academy.
  15. Looking forward to Academy Sports coming to Hiram. They have a great selection of Sporting Goods (Team Sports & Equipment, Excercise Apparel, Shoes, Outdoors Equipment, Marine Equipment and various others) at GREAT prices. I believe a large majority of folks in Paulding County will REALLY enjoy having this store in our community. I agree that Academy did not make Kroger move. I speculate that Kroger would have shut down that store within the next couple of years on their own. That store did not fit the prototype that they are typically building. I think it was a smart business mo
  16. Looking for the "My Size Rapunzel Doll" that Target had on sale a few weeks back. We got a raincheck, but it appears that it is now a discontinued item, per the Target folks...

  21. Not sure of your price point or what you are looking for (quick meal or sit down) but I would recommend the Rainforest Cafe for a sit down (great atmosphere, food probably a 7 out of 10)or the Earl of Sandwich for a quick meal (best sandwich I have ever had).
