I'm just beginning "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by the same author of "The Kite Runner".

Where did you get the ticket? What dept. gave it to you?

I understand the jurisdiction thing! But I often wonder why most counties (Douglas, etc...) start the paperwork and let GSP finish it up but Paulding does not? I'm not slamming the PCSO I'm just curious I guess.

The GSP office that patrols Paulding County is in Cartersville. There is one office in Villa Rica but that patrols Douglas and Carroll County. I have found the PCSO to be very lazy about such things. In any accident they won't do any paperwork they make you wait until GSP gets there. So much for helping fellow officers huh?

Love my Dell too and have never had a bad experience with their tech support. If you're going to buy soon I'd wait until the tax free weekend as it will save you some $$$!

Probably the best decision I made as head of household was to only live on my income. For many years my wife didn't work. She now has a part time job which goes towards savings. Save for a rainy day like today's economic environment which finds many one paycheck from being homeless.

 

My husband was adamant we do this and I couldn't understand why. I do now, he's such a smart guy!

I voted! The main reason was to let all these elected officials know just that, that they're ELECTED!!! They cannot so to speak piss the people off, avoid answering questions and expect no repercussions.

I was somewhat surprised that you HAD to check either Republican or Democrat! I thought they'd have independent in there but did not. My son left it blank and they would not let him vote until he checked one.

I commend you for paying all of that. There are so many dead beat dads out there who won't even pay child support let alone the added extras. Kudos to you!

 

I believe children need to learn responsibility. Having them pay for their own car insurance is part of growing up. My two oldest have paid theirs since they both started driving when they turned 16. Just do what YOU feel you need to.

If its just a deck I don't even think there are permits to get in PC. I asked about getting one for my fence at the courthouse and they laughed at me and sent me on my way.

I have a Tom Tom but I just bought my husband a Garmin for Father's Day. I found mine was easier to use. His is more updated but I'm sure it's due to the fact it's 2 years newer than mine.

Maybe she wasn't AWOL. She could have been on leave. I think being 7 months pregnant would have been pretty obvious. They may know more but aren't releasing it pending investigation.

I don't see anything wrong with this. I've received one speeding ticket in all my years of driving and I DESERVED it! I paid it and was done with it. With the exception of GSP I think most police depts. don't give tickets for less than 9 miles over the speed limit. So if you're speeding you get an extra fine. There's a way to solve this, DON'T speed!

[Tax Assessment]

Mine went down $6,190. The last time they did this they went up about that much and this year they've come down. The houses in my neighborhood have sold at almost $30,000. more than what this is showing. I wonder if they get online and just start playing with numbers. Go figure!

I know! My husband saw me do it and freaked out. I asked him what the h*** he wanted me to do, the dang picture wouldn't work. If I'm on pcom reading and the screen goes white I'm like a wild woman.

I too have had problems. I have a Dell flatscreen and every now and then it goes completely white. I end up picking it up and whacking it on the table and the picture comes right back. I know it's not smart to do but it's the only thing that works. Does anyone else have this problem with theirs?
