  1. The windows on my house are tinted as well as my truck, do you think they would give me ticket for that?

BTW we tinted them because of the hot afternoon sun on the back side of the house. I couldn't even open my blinds in the summer due to the heat.

We're not talking about houses. We're talking about the safety of officers approaching vehicles to dark to see into. Apples and oranges here!

  2. That is the theory that was used to get the tinting laws passed in the first place. but according to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, over the past 3 centuries, there is a greater chance of the officer being shot at a residence & dying in an auto accident than being shot from a vehicle.

There is a risk getting out of bed in the morning too.

Yeah, and your point??? There may be a greating risk from those you mentioned BUT when they approach a car they can't see inside the risk IS greater.

  3. Think of the risk is poses to those protecting us. If they come upon a car and can't see inside who's to say there's not anyone in the back with a gun. It would be too late by the time they found out. There is a legal limit on tint for a reason and so many people have above it. If you get a ticket and have the tint removed before the court date the ticket is usually thrown out. If you insist upon keeping it you take the chance of getting subsequent tickets!

  4. If it's a speeding ticket it has to be 15 mph or over to get any points anyhow. If you were speeding and it's less than that just pay the fine. If you lose you pay the fine and then court costs. I've known some to win and some to lose. I do have to say most I've talked to and lost were with GSP. I say pick your battles wisely.

  5. There's great shopping across the border into Alabama. Pensacola is my favorite place and where I'm from hence my name. There's a zoo down there across the bridge and also a great fort that has a lot of history. There's plenty to do, just get a local book on what to do and you'll be busy. Enjoy, I'm jelous! :)

  6. I think people go crazy buying things because they think they can. People have bought houses that are TOO big and now they can't afford them. Cars they didn't need and now can't afford them. Some (NOT ALL) think it's a sign they've made it and are successful if they have everything new that's bigger and better. Most people I know who are very successful and extremely happy are those who CAN afford but live within their means. I'm not saying it's bad to splurge every now and then but come on.

There are kids who drive new cars to school and have never worked a day in their life. They act a fool and have no respect for anything. We are creating our own monsters and we have nobody to blame but ourselves. It's nice to give our kids what they want but they should also have to work so they understand the TRUE meaning of the dollar. Before everyone gets their panties in a wad I'm not talking about anyone in particular but I'm sure everyone who reads this and wants to be honest knows quite a few of these type of people.

Okay, I'm off my soapbox now! Enjoy this beautiful afternoon!
