    Military Wives, How Do You Do It?

    The soldiers and sailers got it easier nowadays than when my hubby was in because of the internet and cell phones. We use to do a whole lot of letter writing and sending pictures. My kids were very young when he was deployed so I used a video camera to catch the most important things like rolling over, walking, etc. Took pictures every month to show how big they were getting. Its not the easiet thing when your spouse is deployed but you learn to cope and sitting by the phone and not going anywhere isn't going to help you. Set up times with your hubby when to call and go out and have fun. Time will fly if you don't let the fact that he's gone get to you and I use to have a countdown calander when it got close to him coming home it makes it more fun because he had one as well and it gets exciting when you get close to the end. You'll do fine and if you need to talk there are always the miltary wives here on pcom that will listen to you me included. :)

    That is actually pretty good odds..I know when DH made E-6 he was the only one :o

     

     

    Those are good odds. When hubby got E-6 he was one of 6 he made the board for E-7 but they only were promoting 1 and that went on for awhile before he retired. Its always hard to make rank in the Seabees because no one wants to retire. :)

    We have it and we are off hiram sudie. We got the 30/30/30 plan. Basically everything 30.00 which really comes more than that bc it really means in the thirties plan so like 39.00 plus tax plus additional stuff you have ex. recievers. my phone is 44.17 (this has long distance-everything) the internet and uverse come on a seperate bill and it is $88.00 total for both.

     

    You can get a rebate!

     

     

    We love it. I got annoyed at one point bc my tv kept freezing at certain spots but it has gone away. You can watch whatever you record on any room that has a base. You cant do that with direct.

     

     

    Where are you at off of hiram sudie? I live off of hiram sudie(near mcclung rd) and we don't have it yet :(

    I love that place!! There is also Mountain top on Sunday's(go through Gadsden stay on 278 through Attalla and not to far past Attalla 278 turns to the left and you stay on there and at the top of the mountain is the flea market you can't miss it)
