He knows good food when he smells it. I love this place. We ate some pork chops from there last night. They were actually frozen from earlier in the week, but you would have never known I had froze them. Their meats seem to thaw faster than supermarket meats. Hubby thought they were great and I didn't have to do much to get any flavor in them. Salt, pepper, & Garlic powder .....oh and the grill.

Thanks so much... we try to carry the best we can buy and still keep the prices low for you! We ate some pork chops last night too... we tried the new Head Country Seasonings and some of their BBQ sauce to dip. Ay Carumba!!!!

It is great to work at a place that carries quality and that cares about giving thier customers the same.

    Heather, West Metro

  4. The steaks we bought on Sunday were KILLER!! I had to fight off my German Shepherd for them. Dang dog kept jumping on me! He's never done that before! :o

Wow.... I don't know what to say but thanks! We're glad you were happy with them.

    James, West Metro

  5. HEY YA'LL....

HEAD COUNTRY SEASONINGS ARE FINALLY HERE!!!

We are so excited to make these championship seasonings available to you as you purchase your delicious beef, chicken and pork.

Head Country has a variety of BBQ sauces, A Premium Marinade and their Championship Dry Seasoning.

The following is an original chicken recipe using any of the delicious BBQ sauces:

Comments: My husband Steve went to grade school and high school with Paul Schatte from Head Country.

He turned us on to his bar-b-q sauce. Here is a simple easy recipe I came up with that can be prepared ahead of time

and baked when you get home from work.

    Submitted by: Kathy Schultz

    Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (rinsed and patted dry).

Seed and slice 1 large pablano pepper.

Here is the good part, cover with one full bottle of Head Country Bar-B-Q Sauce (original, smokey or hot)

    Steps:

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Placed chicken breasts in baking dish.

Place pepper flesh side down on chicken breasts.

Pour the bar-b-q sauce over the chicken and pepper.

Bake for 1 hour or until chicken reaches 170 degrees internal

That's all there is to it, simple but very good. Enjoy, Kathy

MMMMMMMM!!!!! Can't wait to try this myself!

The Seasonings we have are>>>>> Head Country HOT, Hickory Smoke or Original BBQ sauces ($3.99/each), The Premium Marinade ($7.99/each) and

  6. I am not sure. I mean I hate that they dont want the camper but its not my fault the the wife bought it and the husband didnt know.

I just dont want them to leave negative feedback on my all good postive feedback. And I just know that's what they are going to do.. Grrr...

If they leave negative feedback, you can argue the case with ebay and just have all feedback (yours and theirs) removed from this transaction. At least you wouldn't get stuck with the negative.

And you can comment against negative feedback so everyone can read that they just "changed their minds" or whatever thier excuse is until the comment is removed permanently.

You haven't done anything wrong and you covered yourself well with the description, all the pictures, and the as-is.

    Good luck!

  7. Ms. Bass...

  9. I love me some cube steak, but suck at cooking it, what's the best way?

6 - 4 ounce portions of cubed beef steak

    1/4 cup cooking oil

    1/2 cup flour

    1 large sliced onion

    1 pcke sliced mushrooms

1 10 ounce can condensed cream of mushroom soup

    1/2 cup water

    salt and pepper to taste

In a large heavy skillet cover bottom with cooking oil. Turn to medium heat. Saute the onions/mushrooms until tender.

Combine salt, pepper and flour in bowl.

Dredge meat in flour mix and place in skillet. Fry each side 4-5 minutes over medium heat. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Add cream of mushroom soup and water to drippings from steak. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook over medium heat stirring often.

There are two methods to finish cooking the steak.

The first is to return the cooked steaks to the gravy, place onions/mushrooms on top and turn heat to low.

Cover and cook for 15-18 minutes over low heat.

The second method is to place the cooked steaks in a casserole dish and pour gravy over the dish. Cover with onions.

Bake covered at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes. ( this is the method I prefer.)

Let me know how you like it....

It's a recipe from the Blue Willow Inn in Social Circle, GA

    Hope ya'll like it~!

We had ribeyes today and they were WONDERFUL! I marinate mine in Worchestire Sauce and Angelos steak seasoning (I buy this at Angelos in Panama City FL) for a couple of hours before grilling and they are very tender and real tasty. I will be back for sure.

  16. Even if they did raise their prices, I like the fact that they actually know how to cut meat and can help the customer with any questions. I worked in a meat dept for a long time at a Kroger store and we had real meat cutters like they have at West Metro and to me it makes a HUGE difference. Kroger gave up REAL meat cutters awhile ago and so I DO NOT buy meat there anymore. I really like West Metro and they are so friendly there and I plan to continue shopping at their store. So glad they opened.

WOW! THanks for the great comment!

Our owners have combined butcher experience of over 40 years!! They do know what a difference a custom cut of meat can make and we only carry Black Angus Choice so there is no skimping on quality either! How great is it to have a choice, huh?!?!

Thanks again!!! We really appreciate it!

  17. Is this where that deer processing place used to be?

Our deer processing is still here, but closed till season opens in the fall.

We actually have the left side of our building dedicated to our delicious meat and produce market, with a separate butcher/kitchen/freezer area.

If you are at the corner of 278 and 120 at Bill Carruth, you would continue east toward Marietta on 120. Take a left (toward Dallas) at the stoplight with Community Trust on your right, where Doublevision Bar/Grill was on your left and Briar Patch and the new CVS drug store across from you and head toward Dallas. This is just on the right past Brown Foods and across from Capt. Eddies. We have a lighted sign by the road.

    Thanks for asking!!!

Come on in and see what a Black Angus Choice steak tases like!!

I visited the West Metro Produce & Meat Market for the first time yesterday and it was incredible! I bought ribeyes, filet mignon, canteloupe, an Angel trumpet plant, fresh sausage, fresh corn on the cobb, etc. and spent a lot less than I thought I would. We had the steaks last night and the sausage this morning and it was some of the best we have ever had.

I also got the pleasure of meeting another p.commer, MissD, while I was there and she is just as nice in person as she is on line.

The people at West Metro Market are incredibly nice and helpful and I wish them the best of luck in their new endeavor. I will certainly be going back!

Thank you for your kind words andwell wishes... we really appreciate it!! We love what we do and we love it even more when you love it too!

  18. Now if they will just start to carry seafood as well I will be soooooo sooooo happy. Steak and shrimp on the barbie :D

    Thanks for the comment!

We are carrying a few frozen fish selections...... Flounder Filet $ 5.69 / 2 lbs

    Ocean Perch Filets $4.29 / 1 lb

    Tilapia Filets $4.29 / 1lb

We are still debating the shrimp.... give us some more time to get the meat case rocking and we'll see what happens come summertime grilling season!

    Thanks again!!

  19. The prices need to stay low though or they won't stay in business - JMO - I will make a special trip there now for the quality and prices but if the prices went up, I'd likely get back to buying my meat @ Publix just outta convenience.

Let's hope that won't be an issue 'cause I love it there! :)

We value your thoughts, so thank you! We do carry a much better quality (Black Angus Choice) than the local grocers and we are here to offer that quality at a better price , too.

Meat is like the stock market, however, and there are flucuations from time to time in the pricing. We want to stay below our competitors as often as we can and we do check out the "competition" to see where we are for prices. Sometimes we are unable to beat grocers price card specials, but we will always beat them on quality and customer service.

Again, thanks for letting us know what's on your mind!

  20. Does anyone know do they take debit cards or just checks and cash ? Would like to check them out but never have cash on me.

We absolutely take debit cards with the visa or M/C logo. THank you for asking and we look forward to seeing you.

Just got back and love the prices. I will definately be back.

    Thanks! We appreciate the business!!
