I have seen a few threads where people are looking for things. Maybe we could help each other out. I am looking for mega blocks or big legos for my niece. We don't have alot of money and the thing is she wants 2 sets, one for her house and one for here lol. She does spend alot of time with us, so I thought if I could find someone that was selling some that I could swing this. Anyone have any in good condition they wanna sell for an affordable price? We haven't started shopping yet and have GOT to get started!
Okay I need a decent digital camera for a 10year old boy and a PINK Nintendo DS for a twelve year old girl. It's for the Angel Tree at church and my hubbie and I pick a boy and girl every year to buy a gift for.
We don't have kids so I don't even know what a Nintendo DS is, much less a pink one.

4 oz is a good size, so it comes to 250lbs for 1000 people. 8oz is 500, 1lb is 1000. 2 oz is 125 lbs, 1oz is 62.5lbs.Look at the sizes you can buy at a deli.
The individual size at KFC is 4.5oz. So roughly double is 8, the same size is roughly 4.

Hey this is Heather from West Georgia Deer Cooler... most road kills don't look the've been hit. The damage is on the inside. They don't tend to look like a cat that's been hit.
If there is not any "meat" missing off it, like they didn't take the legs or shoulders off it is probably road kill. Especially if it still has it's guts, it's definately road kill.

Okay... We have a church... First Assembly of God, in Dallas that is holding a chicken dinner Friday, December 5th. They are selling 1000 plates and we've got the chicken figured out, but need to figure out how many pounds of cole slaw they need for the 1000 plates. They want heaping portions of cole slaw.
I can get them 4, 5lb bags (20lb case) but I have no idea how many cases they need. It's the preshredded the school systems get for the cafeterias, so hence the cafeteria help. What's a "heaping portion" so that we can figure out how much to order without them running out or ending up with way too much.

What are the deer coolers hours? Hubby hunts about two hours from here and uses a cooler down there. I'll let him know about you.
Our set hours are 9am till 1 Hour After Sunset. Monday-Sunday. (Except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)

How much do you charge to process a deer?
Our standard cut is $65.00
Basically is "Bone-In" cuts of meat.
Bone in chops on the tenderloin, Steaks on the hind quarters,
Then you have a choice of ground, a roast (if possible), and stew meat (if possible)
We also have a hot/mild breakfast sausage ($10.00 additional)
and a cold summer sausage stick ($10.00/a stick)
Our Custom Cut is $70.00
BONE OUT...
Whole/Sliced/Cubed Tenderloin
Cube Steak on the Hind Quarters
The rest is the same.
And the seasoning we use for our market fresh sausage at West Metro is the same seasoning we us for our venison sausage if you order that... so you know it will be good.
Skinning the deer is included in the processing fee. We do not gut deer unless there is no choice and then we charge $25.00 to do it, if someone is available.
The deer cooler only accepts cash and you can call them at 770-445-2928 with any questions.

You guys ever going to join the hunters feeding the hungry program? I hate haveing to make the drive to donate a deer
We do not participate in Hunters for the Hungry, however, we have a list of elderly and families that are unable to hunt that we donate boxes of unclaimed meat to every year.
Well, if hubby and I didnt process our deer ourselves, we'd use ya'll!!! Yall are the bestest all around!! My freezer is getting low so I need to come stock up on some beef and pork! Hopefully we'll see you in the am.....do you have any boston butts????Sure do!

He was supposed to come home on the 8th. He will be having a medical procedure on the 18th and future release will be evaluated after the procedure. Let's all keep praying that things go well and a new homecoming date will be set.
He will be coming home from California.

West Metro Produce and Meat wants to let you know that deer season is around the corner... September 13 is opening day for bow season.
Because of our location we get ALOT of questions. If you have been to our store, you have seen the signs on the dock side of the building for West Georgia Deer Cooler.
The deer cooler has been serving northwest Georgia for over 16 years for the processing of deer for local hunters. The owners of West Metro Produce are the same owners of West Georgia Deer Cooler. We have 3 walk-in coolers, 1 walk-in freezer and a cutting room dedicated strictly to deer awaiting and being processed.
West Metro Produce has 1 dedicated walk in cooler, 1 dedicated walk in freezer and our cutting room is in the store behind the meat counter.
MEAT FROM THESE TWO COMPANIES IS NEVER KEPT IN THE SAME COOLERS, FREEZERS OR CUTTING ROOMS......... EVER!
Deer are processed as a service and deer meat is illegal to sell in the state of Georgia. If a hunter does not pick up his/her deer after
a specific length of time, we are able to sell their box of meat to customers in order to recoup our processing fees. Deer meat is not and will not be available for sale at West Metro Produce and Meat at any time.
If you are interested in getting on the list for unclaimed deer meat boxes, you must present yourself, in person, to staff at the deer cooler during normal business hours and they will add your name to the wating list. If you are called and you do not return the call by the end of that business day, the next name on the list will be called and you will forfeit your turn to claim any availabe meat. Claimed boxes must be paid for in cash only and you do NOT have a chocie of how the meat is processed and what you receive in the box.
If you have any questions regarding the deer cooler, processing fees, payment options, etc., please feel free to contact them.
We hope this has cleared up any questions and feel free to email us if you have any questions or concerns.

Does anyone know if they are running a special this week? I did a search but couldn't find one for this week.
I am sorry we did not get the Sale posted this week but we have New York Strip Steak for $7.99/lb, Bone-in pork chops thick cut $2.79/lb, Baby Back Ribs $3.99/lb.
I asked the same question the other day and no answer. What is canyon steak?We sale Black Angus Beef, Black Canyon Choice is the label. You have different grade's of meat as Select, Choice, and Angus. Angus is being the highest grade of meat in the three. I hope this answers your question.

We purchase steaks from Sam's at $6.49 per lb instead of West Metro at $10.99 per lb. (Ribeyes) They are tender and delicious.
It is strictly the price difference right now but I will say every meat, fruit and vegetable we have bought from West Metro was great, no complaints at all.
We called Sams and they are offering ribeyes for $6.49/lb BUT it is a family pak, which are generally cheaper, and it is NOT the same grade of meat at all. We offer BLACK CANYON ANGUS CHOICE ($9.99/lb for ribeyes) which is a higher grade of meat and will be a few dollars pricier. We also carry fresher meat, due to the fact that we get directly from the meat distributor and not through an area warehouse and then to our store.
If you are shopping strictly for price and not quality then you absolutely will get a better "deal" at Sams than at our store.
But don't forget to check out our weekly specials because we do offer different steaks each week on sale for 6.99 - 7.99/lb depending on what speciasl we can get from our distributors.

My husband is selling his Play Station 2, because I bought him PS3 last year. It works great, has 3 memory cards,controller and a remote so it can be used for DVD viewing.
He's throwing in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 and 2005.
He wants $100.00 for it
He's trying to find the stand for it though right now because he can't put his hands on it but I know it's around here somewhere....
