  1. :o :o :o

I didn't even know he could sing! :p

    :o

You didn't know Charles Manson can sing?

Lie: The Love and Terror Cult was released in '68, I think. Might have been '69. One Mind was released in 2005.

He, however, wasn't the Manson I was referring to. :p

  2. I just checked out their website. The info. there seems to be more catered to the bands that play or are looking to play. I wonder what the average age is for the patrons. The music descriptions seem to be a little LGMish. ***That is not a criticism, just an observation.***

    :p

Some of the music is very LGMish...some of it, not so much. Most of it is local bands - alot of high schoolers/underaged folks go there to support bands they know. I've been, many a times back before I had HR, and I've been to the CD/music shop inside since then (although it's been a couple of years).

It would depend on how old your kids are. Swayze's isn't rowdy but it is a typical music venue with a bunch of teens running around. I haven't been there in many years but I can't imagine it being any worse than the movie theatre on a weekend night ... just my thoughts though.

Hopefully there is a parent on here who can help you out :)

I concur. It's not any worse than anywhere else teens would hang out on a Friday or Saturday night. ^_^

Yes. It's very young, no alcohol. No craziness. Lots of emos contemplating life and writing bad poetry.

Pretty much. Although, I'm glad I missed the Emo stage.

I've never heard/witnessed any craziness there...but I'm not saying it would never happen. Then again, I had friend in high school lose their virginity at the skating rink and the movie theater at Arbor Place....so really, what's 'safe'?

  3. When I was in school, anything below a 70 was failing. ^_^ 70-79 was a C, 80-89 was a B, and 90-100 was an A.

Keep in mind that in college a 'D' technically isn't 'failing'...but alot of the colleges won't accept them AND you still have to have a 2.0 to not get put on probation/kicked out and/or lose your financial aid.

  4. Okay, so i hate manson but i listened to the link and actually that aint bad....kinda mellow for him aint it?

The entire album is like that. The lyrics are still pretty Manson-like...one of the songs is called 'I wanna kill you like they do in the movies' and another is 'Arma God D*mn Mother Truckin' Geddon'.

    But they sound mellow. :D

  5. And i thought it was a day to celebrate cause its HR's last day at the day care she is in now and she starts her new one monday!!!!!

I know her nana is very pleased about this!!

    This was posted yesterday. :p

Today IS a day to celebrate because it's the last day at the old daycare. :yahoo:

Everyday is a day to celebrate if you look around hard enough. ;)

  6. :clapping:

Today is truly a good day ;)

    Yes, yes it was. ;)

Awesome! I know how much you love his music! :yahoo:

Love is an understatement - and this album is completely different than anything he's ever done. There's even one song that has a country/southern rock sound to it. And a couple of acoustic/slow rock songs...I still haven't wrapped my head around it.

Y'all are gonna have a great time! I never seen manson live, but HAVE seen Slayer 5 times- You are guaranteed a high energy performance! :D

The BF and I saw Slayer and Manson when they came together two years ago. The BF was just my best friend back then and got us tickets for my birthday. It was hell-a-amazing, but Manson cut his show short by 3 or 4 songs.

Munky, another p.commer long lost, is just as big of a Manson fan as I am. It's going to be awesome to go with her.

  7. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Manson came out with a new album - released YESTERDAY! Listen, seriously...different than anything I've heard him do. The album is amazing. And, the bf, Munky, her bf, and I shall all see him live for my birthday in July. Again. :yahoo: :yahoo:

  8. LGM--my little sis started today, too....I'll be sure to send her to you if she needs anything. :p

pffft....I don't know anything about anything. :nea: :ninja:

Had somebody call today and ask for LGM, though. THAT was interesting. Thank Jeebus I answered or they never would have found me.

  9. My vote goes for private school.

I was the super smart kid that they kept trying to skip ahead multiple grades. I took the SAT wayyyy early and scored off the charts - yadda, yadda, yadda. Mom wouldn't let them skip me because I would be with older kids, which was a smart idea for me. I wouldn't have fared well with the older kids. However, I was bored out of my mind. While I was a straight A student 99% of the time, there were semesters where I literally did nothing until my teachers got ticked and made me sit down and do ALL of the work at the end of the year before they would pass me. Why? I was bored. Like, beating my head into a wall kind of bored.

Private school would have been perfect. If YOU think that W can handle the older kids, then go for skipping up to his educational level. If not, don't do it. ^_^

  10. :o LGM!!!!!

    ((((HUGS))))

I was wondering what happened to you!!!!

I got lost in reality again! :o You're supposed to stop me, remember? -_-

Really though - two weeks without school, so I've been cleaning, working, working with HR on that whole not throwing Angelina Jolie/Psycho/Girl Interrupted fits anymore thing, and took a trip or two to North Georgia.

    :pardon:

  11. where is LGM? I have not seen her on latley..

I hope she found a day care for her little one...

I'm here! :D I should sign on more often - I had 40-something new pages. Made it to page 2 and quit.

I did find a new daycare for HR - she starts on Monday.

As for stuff for the softball team, I can't help ya there - all I have are a zillion different pamphlets and advertisements. The bookstore should be able to hook you up - the athletic's department is more likely to have free stuff or be able to direct you to someone who could.

I could send a few emails in the morning to a couple of the department heads/Deans and see if they would know where to go or if there was anywhere to go. A few of them love stuff like this.

  12. Man, I missed it. There was an F-22 Fighter blasting over Hiram last week. First one I've seen in flight. It has a very distinctive sound.

I love that plane almost as much as I love the A-10.

    And that's alot. :D

Is there an air show coming up, maybe?
