If something serious is going on, the officers may go to another channel, that we (the public) can not hear or they may use their nextel.
Thank you 'Mrs G' I understand and respect that, if thats the case. I was on my way home and they were on their way somewhere in a hurry, w/o lights or sirens. Living next to a fire station it's become habit to log on when they go out. My brother's an officer, I have concern for their safety and respect the need not to be broadcast at all times. I'm really not just being nosy. I don't make many comments in regard to police activity. I'm genuinely asking in hopes that its not still a computer problem, just curious.

I logged onto the scanner to see where PCS were in route to and its not coming through, anyone having a problem with scanner? I thought I fixed the problem with the computer today, UGH.

I've heard hostage situation, something about hunting rifle, and some chatter about 190 Hickory Lane. I suppose that's the address. Either way, this is a mini subdivision, and it's happening here.
I totally understand. Just thought it may not be a coincidence! That maybe they'd rather not so much communication at this time re: situation.

I hate it for you too. Probably the same low down crooks that stole our a.c.unit from work at the end of Nebo a couple weeks ago. Everybody better batten down, it only gets worse this time of year.
Keep an eye open for you local convenience store clerks too, I had a store owner in the chair when she got a call at three in the afternoon, their store was just robbed. They have it bad, every store on every corner in both directions from my house to work was hit at least once, around this time, last year. Nothing and nobody is safe these days, just like the man getting shot in his own driveway, trying to go to work.
Hopefully your generator will turn up at a pawn shop. I know we would like to set a trap for our new a.c.unit for the next low life.
It would be nice if some of these recent crimes were resolved AND with follow up reports for the community of an arrest, at least one of these crimes. REAL NICE!!!

October 24th was the 4th aniversery of my father's death from cancer. Copper died the very next day. I have to think they are together waiting on the rest of us.
I'm so sorry and I'm certain the anniversary of your fathers death has been weighing heavy on your heart. You are right in thinking they are together. Knowing your fathers love for you, your family and your pets. It is his way of comforting you, knowing he was waiting with open arms to welcome your courageous and beloved Copper.

The thing is they have to track down ALL leads no matter how far out they are. One person says well so and so had words and they HAVE to track it down. If they did not then they could have very bad problems IF and when it comes to trial. You may only have heard of one lead they were checking and to you it may seem worthless but that is not the way it is. For every worthless lead they get it is one more thing crossed off what I am sure is a long list. Then of course there is always the chance that someone everyone just knows did not do it really did......happens all the time.

Now I'm not suggesting this is at all what is going on here - really, truely and absolutely not suggesting it - but I simply offer that joke to help communicate the full spectrum of potential perps detectives are trying to determine as possibilities. The point is that even if it was an ill word said to someone a decade ago that has festered to the point of insane hatred, the victim may be as clueless as to the motivation as the motivation is strange.
Still, the narrowing of the focus seems to toward someone somehow connected to the victim and while the police may not have put all the dots together, it is just as likely that the victim is equally challenged.

My father lives one house down from me, he was the first person to come the our neighbor's help, "elder, father, grandfather, hard worker, good man" , I think the man is still alive, Thank God, Family is at the hospital. Now from what I can make out from the details is:
The suspect parked his car down the road about 1 block
, walk to my house. One of my car doors had been found left open, nothing missing, like someone was hideing in it, deputy told me that they think he was waiting in the bushes as my neighbor walk up to his truck then he was shot. My father told me when talked to our neighbor he said, "Why would some be at the back of my truck and shot me". Then his wife started to drive him to the hospital, they end up coming back to house to meet EMC, he was then life fighted to Atlanta, Deputies did a light search of all yards looking for the gun. NOT FOUND!!! deputy told if we found it to call them, After they left I did a good search, thats not something I want just laying around. K9 picked up trail from the truck back to where the suspects car was, they also found marks where the car was, They did come back and try finger print my car but came up with nothing. My 9 yr. old son was asleep in his bed that is only 20 feet from where the shooting took place. This took place about 6:15 am, dark outside. no details on suspect.

SO HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE ARMED THEM SELVES FOR PROTECTION. ALL OF MY NEIGHBORS HAVE.

If it is still zoned residential than I would think it will be a nieghborhood. If they change the zoning to commercial you'll see those notices posted somewhere. Also, the planning board meets the 4th tuesday of every month, it will have to be approved by them for the zoning or special permit to change.
Thats true. I guess when the seller told me he didn't know what it would be used for, I thought it was a little unusual, since he lives across the street. I guess he wasn't curious.
I know of a corner lot available, that would add to his menagerie.

going towards Nebo Rd. and starting at 526 Dallas Nebo Rd. some lots were recently purchased and are being cleared for development. The previous owner stated that he "didn't know what it was going to be used for". The surveyor that was out after the land was cleared of the trailer and out buildings asked if I knew. I am curious if more houses will be built or if its going to be put to commercial use? Does anyone know or is there a website I could go to and find this information? I looked through paulding.gov and it remains zoned residential. Just curious.

WATCH OUT FOR YOUR PROPERTY !!!
My first involvement with Ga. Transmission was in June 1999. I thought we had come to an agreement, (after heavy persuasion and threats by Ga. Transmission.) I gave up easement of my property and all most every tree on my property. I was sure to get approval from Georgia Transmission and Paulding County Department of Transportation (DOT) before beginning any replanting or replacement of landscaping or screening on my property.
THEY JUST CUT DOWN SEVEN MATURE LEYLAND CYPRESS TREES!!!!!! These trees were in no way causing any disturbance to existing power lines, and neither are the nine remaining trees, that we caught just as they were about to come down. I am more than furious and hope that this doesn't happen to any other unsuspecting home owner. It's hard enough to deal with all the growth in our community and at the same time try to keep up appearance of property as these developers are tearing it down.
I am not going to lose the last nine Leland Cypress!!!! SO help me...
