  1. meh. I'm married to a leo. he's been one for 18 years, and has only made the news twice.

once for hitting a 12 point buck in his patrol car on Dallas Hwy.

once for transporting a Braves player from Fulton back to Cobb for probation violation.

both made him very unpopular with my father.

I don't give a crap how he's viewed by the general public. I just know that everyone who knows him, loves him. not for being a cop, but for the person he is.

    :good:

  2. I know the man in question and his wife personally. I spoke with the wife last evening. This story is completely false and misrepresents what truly transpired, which was not a domestic dispute. The man and wife are both ok. The man is recovering from self inflicted wounds at hospital.

Well, whatever the story, I hope he recovers well, and in the end it all works out okay for both him and his wife.

  3. I didn't really see this coming since Kurt's misbehavior was off track but I am not all that surprised.

What I am surprised at is that Kyle was not fired. His bad conduct was on the track and put other people at risk. Not to mention costing Hornaday a possible championship.

Report: Kurt Busch fired from Penske Racing

Nope, didn't see that one coming either, would have expected Kyle to be let go and I would be happy.

  4. Nice win for one of the best auto racers ever. I know the commericals are a joke about him being in an F1 car but I would like to see him do it. I don't watch much Nascar anymore but I will forever be a Smoke fan.

Stewart drove and awesome race, when the race began I thought it wasn't going to be his day, the front end damage, the long pit stops.....But Smoke just kept coming back. Great race !!!

  5. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the race. What a race. I got ticked when after listening to the 1st lady ramble on and on they came back to the race and Tony had a hole in his front grill. I was so ill. I mean they recorded it. Why didn't they show it in the pre race stuff. Anyway... then to have Tony go to the pits several times to get it fixed and race back to the front was so exciting. The stupid decision (IMHO) to wait to pit late in the race had me standing and hollering for him to pit. I just knew that was gonna bite him in the butt, but it didn't.

Edwards was a class act. He was disapointed, but you could tell his Mama raised him right. He will get his champship soon and I will be excited for him. When he was being interviewed all I could think of was if it was Gordon who finished 2nd he would have been talking in that whinny voice crying about what others did to him.

On Facebook people were saying that cars were just allowing Tony to pass them. Well, my opinion was he had to race up to them to overtake them. Yes, probably some let him by, but some sure didn't. 4 wide on one pass...OMGOSH!!!!

I saw on a interview a day or so before the race where Tony said he would wreck his Mama to win. I'm glad he didn't have to wreck anyone to win. I'm glad both his and Carl's cars preformed great and that it was a great race.

Can you tell I'm a Tony Fan?

Stewart and Edwards are both Champs, yeah, one got the trophy, but they were tied in points in the end. I gather you don't like Gordon...too bad, he is a good driver.

  6. Crybaby Busch is a good driver but I would NEVER put him in the same class of drivers with Dale Earnhardt, Sr!!!

I missed that. What was their statement? You are right - Joe Gibbs has much more to lose than he does to gain by keeping Busch in the car.

    Statement...

STATEMENT FROM M&M’S / MARS INCORPORATED

The recent actions demonstrated by Kyle Busch are not consistent with the values of Mars, Incorporated and we’re very disappointed.

We do not condone this behavior and expect those who represent our company and brands to abide by the same values our company stands for.

We have expressed our strong concerns directly to Joe Gibbs Racing.

  7. Why are you discriminating aginst those of us that are retired. Your Poll would not let me vote because there was no place for me to vote on some of the sections?

I was looking for the "Are you Democrat or Republican" question, He likes to bash Republicans every chance he gets.......Sorry for the hijack.. :pardon:

  8. I agree KB is a great car driver, but at what point do you say enough is enough?

The dude has been on probation for some time now for previous outbursts of childishness, and the latest episode has ruined the chances of Hornaday winning the championship, not to mention it could have "luckily it didn't" caused serious injuries to one or both of the drivers.

Yep !! Don't think Joe Gibbs was very happy with the Mars family statement either, when the sponsor (all the money) ain't happy, I don't think old Joe is either.
