He very well could, but he is pushing for and was elected on getting congress to fix our border crisis and immigration laws. If we learned anything from Obama, it is that what one president can do with the stroke of a pen, the next can undo. We don't need temporary fixes. We need republicans and democrats to come together and fix the issue. If children are important enough to force everyone into a room to discuss the issues, then we might want to get on it.

Just a comment about those seeking asylum...After their asylum review, 80% (4 out of 5) of those seeking asylum are not legitimate. That number came from Homeland Sec.

One would think that, but frankly, it just isn't that simple. The senate isn't anything like the house, which requires a simple majority. The senate requires 60 votes to even bring legislation to the floor to be discussed, amended and then voted on. Republicans at the present control (51) seats. So without democrat support, there is no vote to bring it to the floor. I'm not a rules junkie. If someone knows something different, by all means elaborate.

The alternative to seperation of these families is to either release them into the United States pending

(BTW: You cannot "support legal entry" and oppose real border security at the same time.)
This was not an issue (of any great proportion except some cherry picked photos but not nearly what it has grown into) before trump decided to separate children from their parents so why did it blow up? I wonder if there is something else going on and this is just another diversion tactic.
No one wants these people released into this country without the proper requirements being met. Again, I wonder what is motivating these people to try and cross illegally when they know what the consequences are. Why aren’t we hearing more about this side of the story? Some are saying they want asylum because they are being prosecuted, I would like to have more info.

Where did I post that I support “unfettered illegal entry” for anyone who shows up at the border with a child? I didn’t. You can say what you like but that doesn’t mean it’s the truth. You are lying.
I support legal entry and I am asking myself just how bad does the threat that they are feeling need to be for these parents to be separated from their children? I would like to find a video that explains this rationale.

Democrats did not require the separation of children from their parents. The existing LAW does not call for the separation of children from their parents PERIOD. It is the POLICY of the trump administration that the children and parents be separated. That policy can be changed by trumps pen. There is no need for congress to approve anything. The situation is being milked by trump as an opportunity to lie to the American people AGAIN.
I don’t know which is crazier, the lies, or the fact that the trump followers are believing what he is saying. Talk about people being sheep.

If you're going to insult people about everything from intelligence to their sobriety to their sex lives to being on the take from political parties to their income level you don't get to choose how your insulted back, and guess what looking like a 2 year old is making a sport out of stalking people on this board 24/7 for the purpose of insulting and belittling them then acting like your some kind of a victim when it comes back at you.
The first time I ever posted on this board was out of a sense of anger seeing a gang of people attacking a single person, I think what really pisses people off now is the numbers are not so lopsided, for the first time the predators might be just as likely to find themselves the prey.
