  1. Last night in TKD class we were talking about tanning and sunburns. I told them about the time my fair skinned dumb self used CRISCO to try to get a tan. BIG mistake.

  2. My church has a Christian Martial Arts program if that interest you.

They just come back from a tournament with the most trophies won by any group, and won an award for the best group in that tournament.

What tournament did you go to? We went to one on the 16th in Henry County. They are lot of fun.

  3. We have Comcast home phone, internet and cable T.V. and ours isn't coming up on the T.V. - I feel so left out!!

It should soon. Comcast sent out a mailer about it and if you don't have it after July 1st then call them. For anyone that does not like it you can turn it off using the menu button on your remote. It came up on my TV for the first time today, but I think I like it.

  4. Those pictures say it all and nary a word needs to be spoken. Love, Honor, Bravery, Heroism and Patriotism. God Bless America and God Bless the men and women fighting for our freedoms and God Bless the families they leave behind while serving this great nation of ours.

  5. Welcome to Paulding County and Pcom. We are glad to have you.

We moved from Savannah Ga in 1993 to Marietta and then to Paulding in 1999. I can't imagine living anywhere else in the metro area. I wouldn't mind going back to Savannah if we had to, but for now we are proud to call Paulding County home, even if we don't have ANY family here at all. Well now that might not be such a bad thing if you knew my family.

Oh yeah and if you like to fish for fun, go to White Oak Park, they have catch and release. My son goes over there sometimes just to fish and relax.

  6. I said no, but just this morning we were out of coffee and DH ran to the store for a fresh bag of Starbucks, DH cannot function without his morning cup of java. Me personally, I can take it or leave it. As it is I only have about 3-4 cups a week.

  7. believe it or not we have been feeding the tree rats for several years and they, so far, have not bothered anything. OUr bird feeder is about 7-8 years old and still going strong. Now the tree rats do get on the feeder and spill the seed all over the ground below, but this actually helps the birds because more can congregate on the ground than they can on the feeder. We buy the squirrel food from Target and the song bird seed there as well. The difference I guess is that I don't mind the tree rats at all as long as they stay outside where they belong. By feeding them it seems that it also helps to keep them out of flower beds. Every morning we have up to 10 -12 tree rats, 1 bunny, 2 chipmonks and umpteen zillion birds coming to our backyard restaurant.

Got to admit though, I would like to have one of those spinning feeders just for fun, but I WILL NOT pay $150 for a feeder. :nea:

  8. Hey PUBBY, You should change you filter every 3 months. Use a quality filter (not mentioning names but don't get the 1.99 sale one) and you won't have to pay for the service call. Just a suggestion my friends in the hvac buness would beat me for spreading this.

My thermostat tells me when it is time to change the filter, but I use a reusable filter in the main unit. We also keep a filter in the hot air returns and I even got hubby to install a vent cover that is on hinges so it is ubber easy to do, we used to have to unscrew it.

  9. My DH thinks it's funny to fart at the grocery store. He always does it wen no one is around and then says "hurry up we have to go". Then some poor individual comes along and walks into that "invisible wall". :spiteful:

  10. I don't wear mine and that has really started to bother me more than ever. I really want to wear it. The reason I don't is because I gained weight and it won't fit anymore and I have just been too lazy to do anything about it. Time to get off it and lose the extra pounds so I can wear it again.

  11. The one we have now is a Mr Coffee and the darn thing leaks coffee all over the counter when we pour the coffee into cups. We had the Gevalia one before that and it did the same thing, at least ours did but I think they have changed the styles since we had ours. We did have Krups for years that we really liked and it was about $90 at Mcay's, that was about 12 years ago. I think the next one we get will be a Bunn , I just don't like spending that much but they are good coffee makers. MY FIL just replaced his old Bunn about a year ago, the old one was about 12 years old he said. So they REALLY got their monies worth and the goody out of it.
