  1. I don't know this family personally, but my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. May you Rest in Peace Mr. Holmes, thank you for serving the needs of others when you were needed the most. Emergency workers put their own lives at risk routinely and are like someone else said they are indeed a very special breed of human being, not just anyone can do what they do.

  2. I just had a thought. Many of the local churches are having their annual Trunk or Treat events going on this weekend. Anyway, I know the one that my DD goes to will have a cake walk and I am going to make a few things to donate. What about making something to donate to a few places like this and make sure your product is labeled with your shop info? It could be an inexpensive way to advertise and give folks a chance to taste your goods. Keep in mind your grand opening will only be a couple weeks or so after Halloween. Just an idea and it would only have to be simple but cute things that would draw the attention of kids, like fall themed cupcakes or Halloween themed brownies, etc . Again, just a thought and I know how tough times are for people, but I thought this might be a good opportunity to get samples out of what you have to offer.

I for one can't wait for your shop to open, the store front looks really cute with the Bumble bee theme.

  3. I have a very good friend whose son is in the HHS band and he absolutely loves it. The band works so hard and I too am very proud of them for their accomplishments. Way to go A.H. and your fellow Band of Gold members!!! I am so very proud of you all. Now I need to get to one of the games to see them play before the season is over.

  4. That is such a sweet photo. When my son was little, I took him to have his pics taken and he absolutely refused to wear his shoes. I still remember that day and look back on it now and I think it was so cute as he is wearing his socks in every picture. It bugged me at the time that he was so determined not to wear shoes.

  5. Wow! That just made me tear up a little. What an awesome outpouring of help from our community.

I know the three people from Poplar Springs Janell and Keith James live in our S/D and Rachelle is my friends hairdresser and soon to be mine. Now I know what RNG looks like. Girl you ain't no redneck. LOL. Just to put this out there, the James family has had a hard time of their own. Keith lost his job some time ago due to the economy but there they are out there in the thick of it all helping out others in need.

All of you guys just ROCK!!!
