The reason I asked about the blades is because I have two KA stand mixers, one the wire whisk is a stainless steel and the other one is a burnished metal. The latter will tarnish in the dishwasher and leave a funky dark residue in my hands, rags, food and whatever it touches. It started doing this after going through the dishwasher, so hand washing it is the only option. The metal finish is similar to those ice cream scoops that sort of melts the ice cream on contact for easier dipping. I've had three of those and they all did the same thing, so the one I have now I have to hand wash.

Are your mixer blades white or metal? If they are white, then I don't know. If they are solid metal and not painted, it could be they need a good scrubbing and don't put them in the dishwasher. It will tarnish them.

I just came through and from what I could tell, it may have been a house. It was not the bank or daycare. A fire truck was in the parking lot of the church at the fire hydrant and another was positioned at the top of a driveway across the street. I could not actually see what had burned since the driveway is a long one and heavily lined with trees. Whether it was a home or some kind of outdoor structure like a shed, I couldn't tell. Either way, I hope no one was injured.

Wow, those are some beautiful cakes. I don't have a graduate right now, but I'm sure I can think of a multitude of reasons just to have a cake from FCB and they are right up the road from me.

We always make dressing, but can someone please explain to me WHY they(on the link) recommend cooking a stuffed turkey to a minimum of 165F but an un-stuffed turkey to 175F. It seems to me that one would suggest to cook the stuffed bird to the higher temperature. Maybe it's the late hours, but this makes no sense to me right now. Help me out here someone, please.

I did not recognize him by name, but I do remember MASH and the character he played. His voice was a one of a kind, you hear it and instantly put a face to it. RIP Harry Morgan.

It's a matter of time before he is completely out of NASCAR if he keeps up with his antics. I don't like him at all, but he is a good driver, when he behaves. It will be interesting to see if this punishment from NASCAR will make him wake up and realize what he has to lose.
Way to go NASCAR for parking his butt this weekend, it's about time. The fans are so tired of this punk getting away with everything he has been doing.

We have three dogs and a bird, so I change the filters every month. However, I did not realize the cheap filters would be just fine, that's good info to have. Several years ago, I ordered a hinged vent/grill for the hot air return in the hallway so that it would be easier for me to replace filters in there too.

The estimated taxes for this year come to $1522.00. I will have to go check, but I am certain my taxes were less than that last year. How exactly can the value be less from last year, yet what I will owe will be more?
