  1. Thats funny. I quite using firefox becuase I did an update on it and it wiped out my internet connection. After trying many different solutions, I had to take the computer back to its original settings and I've been using IE ever since. And I had two or three difference virus protection programs on my computer at the time.

  2. Can anybody explain why when I bid on something on ebay, I am immediately outbid? And no matter what I bid next, I am continuously outbid? It seems like the bids are rigged to get the prices higher.

You can put a max bid on there when you bid. Say the big starts at 1.00 but you put a max bid of 20 bucks. As long as no one bids higher then 20 bucks it is still yours. But I if someone else bids like 15 bucks, then the price is raised up to 15 bucks but has not matched your max bid of 20. So the person that bid 15 bucks is out bid but you can still win the auction at 15 bucks instead of 20. I don't know if that actually makes any sense. I couldn't think of any easy way to explain it.

  3. Agreed with everyone else. I get them from"Paypal" all the time too. Above all, NEVER click the links that are in those e-mails. Although, I do have BOA and they did make me change my username and password recently. But I was prompted from the actual website not an e-mail.

  4. Above all make sure he is getting along with his therapist. If he doesn't then he is going to dislike going to therapy or won't be as forthcoming. But I agree on the journal. It can take several different medications before he finds the right one and keeping a journal will help determine that. Depending on the type of depression it can be a life long issue and it will have its down points. But the thing to remember is that people with depression can have happy, productive, and fullfilling lives. You've already taken a great step towards that by making the effort to get him help and being there to support him. I wish you the best of luck.

  5. Slight hijack, but since people will be reading this that might need one.....

We have a propane tank that is the large family size, 250 I believe. It is FREE and currently just taking space in our backyard. No holes and it is still sealed as far as we know.

  6. Has anyone seen any Wii Fits? Walmart online is out, as is Sears, and KMart, and Dallas Hway Walmart.

They sell for about $90, but on ebay, going for over $140. I'm hoping to find a new one locally.

    Hopefully, thanks.

We got ours at Best Buy about 3 weels ago. I'd call first, the day we got ours only 2 came in on the truck.

  7. Have you been to the vet to confirm that it isn't Parvo? That would be my first concern with it.

At 50lbs I would assume that the dog is no longer a puppy. If the dog has had its shots and is not a puppy, Parvo shouldn't be a concern.

We had our pitt go through the same stomach bug not to long ago. It took about a week and a half till she was better. The immodium seemed to make things worse so we quit giving it to her. We only fed her chicken and rice for a few days and it worked itself out. The blood was probably from her backside just being irritated. Diarrhea and throwing up are the worse things to go to the vet for IMO. All they can do is watch your dog, just like you would at home except they get to charge you for it. As long as the dog is still taking in food and water a vet most likely won't be nesicary(i never know how to spell that), but everyones advice is great.

  8. Could it possibly be becuase it is towards the end of the year and they have to use up all of thier funding? I know they do that with repaving projects. If the don't use the money it goes against them the next year and they are given less money. That is what I was told anyway.

  9. Correct me if I'm wrong, but just because there is a "hold" on the money does not mean it has been deducted from your account. If there is a hold of $99 for three days but that actually clears as, say, $25.00 the whole $99 wasn't taken out, right? Unless you had another debit (or check) clear in the meantime that would overdraw the account, the amount on "hold" wouldn't cause an overdraft since it hasn't actually been taken from the account, right? It should only show up as a "pending transaction" until it actually clears. Then again, maybe I don't understand this "hold" status very well.

With my experience your available balance will say negative whatever. It fixes itself once everything goes through though and you wouldn't be charged. This happens when I deposit a check through the drive through. The check won't go through fully until the next day. They usually give me 100 of whatever I deposit...so if i go over that 100 it says my account is in the negative until the rest of the check clears, then it is back to normal.

  10. I found a Great Dane at the Douglasville shelter I fell in love with...

I have a fence - but I'm struggling with if I have enough space for another 100 pound critter in my house.

We are the same way. We have 3 dogs right now (and 3 cats, 1 guinea pig and a turtle). We REALLY want a 4th dog but have a small house. We are trying to wait until we get a fence so we can have a space bigger than the living room to get thier engergy out. Great danes are great though, I took care of a pair for awhile. I was never dissapointed to see them.

  11. Does anyone if the PS2 came with a standard parental code to start out with? We have never set the parental code for our PS2 and we are now using it to watch movies. On quite a few movies it is asking for a parental code in order to view the movie...but we don't have one and have never set one. Any ideas?

Honeymoon with hitches a heartache for couple

    By Alison Young

    The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

    Sunday, November 30, 2008

It was supposed to be a dream honeymoon on a Caribbean island at a brand-new resort: A suite with two Jacuzzis, pool view and room service.

But Cobb County newlyweds Lindsey and Cody Williams say it turned into a nightmare that forced them to return to Atlanta after less than a day.

“My honeymoon,” 23-year-old bride Lindsey Williams wrote in an e-mail to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, “could go down in history as one of the worst experiences ever.”

The Williamses’ expensive odyssey is a cautionary tale for travelers, consumer experts said: check out travel agents, scrutinize changes in itineraries and be flexible, yet persistent, when things go wrong.

The couple married Nov. 15 in Dallas, Ga., and celebrated with 175 friends and family at the Marietta Country Club.

Two days earlier, they received news that could have been a red flag for their honeymoon: The resort hadn’t opened as scheduled.

In September, the couple bought an all-inclusive air and hotel package for $3,693, records show, through a travel agent recommended by friends: Ken MacVicar at Unique Choice Travel.

“We thought, that will make it easier,” Lindsey Williams said. “Planning a wedding and planning a honeymoon is a lot to do.”

MacVicar was glad to help. About a year ago the Cobb County retiree bought an online travel agency through YourTravelBiz.com of Wood River, Ill.

I know part of this was the bride's error for not doing enough research but stuff like this is one of the reason's I haven't traveled much yet. I'm terrified of getting so far from home and have so much go wrong.

  13. Why do you need your credit score up if you are paying cash for EVERYTHING? What a concept!

The reply is going to be something about a mortgage I'm sure. (Hah! I don't plan on having an infinite mortgage so I understand these things!)

Yea mortgages, arpartments, many jobs, car loans. They all run credit checks.

  14. This is one of those times that I have become accustomed to either paying from my online banking account or I go to their site and pay the bill. I know when each of the store cards is due and when to go online and make my payements. I look at the bills online and verify things then. I had gotten used to not having to look at the paper statements and it came back and bit me in the butt. <_< For example the Kohl's bill is always the 15th. It has not changed since they built the one in Hiram. The Penny's bill is always the 2nd or 3rd. It may vary but has never been earlier than the 1st. This last month the Kohls bill was due on the 9th and pennys was due on the 27th. None of those original days landed on a bank holiday so they had no reason to move them, other than to catch folks off guard.

Do they have an option so you can get an e-mail notification that it is due? I choose to get paper statements and those alerts. I think it was Sprint that changed the due date on me not to long ago. Threw off my entire billing schedule. My mom has had it happen to her too, she pays everything online and has automatic debits. SO of course...one changed on her so it was making a late payment for like 2 months.
