    So no, I don't think we need to be luring people here with cash.   Personally, I think growth is overstated; even though it does increase the tax base, it also requires more infrastructure and more services, overcrowds the schools and increases traffic, so the tradeoff sort of cancels out any benefit of an increased number of property owners. 

    This was once a lovely little county, as was Cobb.  Now...well, not sure what the draw is, really, since cheap housing is a thing of the past.

    Local folks would do well to renew and expand their interest, planning and politicking for alternative forms of commuting. I saw where the entire region is 'rethinking' its road building formula for development. 

    What folks don't realize is that the issue is not just time of the commute.  If folks are okay with a one-hour commute (Paulding has one of the longest commutes in Georgia) that could be cut in half if, for instance, there were a monorail system that whisked folks from the Dallas Trailhead to downtown Atlanta in ten minutes at high speed.  That would mean homes within walking distance of the monorail station would 'magically' live as close to downtown as those in Buckhead as they would have about the same commute time.

     

     

     

     

    RNCC Thank You for putting up those stats and TSG... it would probably take me 3 Hours to travel from  one end of the county to the other,

    instead of the 2 hours it currently takes me. I was just entering my Client Number with Paulding Water and I'm # 44826

    and I moved here in 1996

    there is a Lil' confusion if the entrance is in Cobb County or Paulding County as that is the county line runs dead center down the property line!

    that BENT Toothbrush is part of my MacGyver traveling tool kit!:rofl:

     

    Cleaned the grout at a friends condo and touched it up... they actually have grout paint! :friends:

    By bending that toothbrush I was able to give my knees and back a break!

     

    constantly doing lil' cosmetic things to extend the life of rental

    due to wear and tear.

     That was most refreshing to meet a neighbor in town and have a meaningful conversation with somebody I’ve never met because we have the love for Paulding County Georgia. 😇

     I’m going to call this a one take wonder!

    ( that is another totally entirely different subject ) :rofl:

     

     As I was cleaning out my vitamin box this morning I came across a couple of things :rolleyes:

     Now keep in mind it took me a millisecond maybe to have all these thoughts go through my mind and it’s taking me almost 5 minutes just to jot (2 T’s...  yes again another totally different subject ) what I have jotted down! (jots and Tittles...get it);)

     With that being said, this picture represents 10,000 words and much emotion!:wub:

    Given ALL of the distractions in the world today to optimize our time .. yes I’m talking about technology !

     

     In other words we have to be intentional to communicate with the ones that are nearest and dearest to us 

     

     Even if it’s  Technology that we have to learn as this has now taken me 12 minutes but everyone reading this is worth my time to express what it means to me!

We have broken bread with her numerous times and she blessed us with her friendship. I have seen the holy ghost power of the lord all over this woman. She was mentally ill, poor and far from perfect but full of love for the lord and people. I do not know her from standing on the road with her tambourine. I was lucky enough to know her much better.
