  1. Yes Tony is the best :D I will always be a Stewart fan.....

Will you still be a fan when he's back in the back of the pack like Michael Waltrip instead of in the top 10?

When Waltrip drove a Chevy at DEI, he was competing near the top in every race, now you don't hear much from him.

I'm thinking Tony will be sorry that Gibbs made the switch to Toyota.....

  2. :D

    Hello everyone:

My husband and I have been married 20 years today. We met in 1984 when I drove over from Mableton to cruise Dallas. He was riding in a cut up BAHA Volkswagon. We met at the Big "D" and started dating. We got married 3 years later in Las Vegas at the Little White Wedding Chapel.

We have been thru alot during our marriage, including a health crisis concerning my husband with his Crohns disease. But GOD is good, and has seen us thru everything and just made us and our marriage stronger. He is my best buddy, my lover, my confidant, he makes me laugh and cry.

Together we have our daughter Caroline who is the joy of our live. She is a daddy's girl!

He surprised my last night with 2 dozen Red Roses. We are planning a weekend away on Labor Day at the Waverly Renissance.

The number-one status symbol you can acquire in our society is not a fancy car, a yacht, an airplane or a multi-million dollar mansion. That number-one status symbol is a long-term marriage. You can't win one. You can't buy one. There's only one way to get one... and that is to work hard for decades.

Congratulations to you both..............Happy 20th Anniversary

    GO PATRIOTS!!!!!!!

  3. Also take the Shell Island sunset cruise. Cheap and well worth the money. We did it with the kids and it lasted for 3 hours and the kids did a treasure hunt. The cheapest and actually the longest and the also give you sandwiches and chips and drink and hot dog chips and drink for the kids. You also go to Shell Island for an hour and it's beautiful. B)

If you're into Steaks, then Angelos or Black Angus, but if you're into seafood, Scampys, BoonDocks or Dirty Dicks......

Stay away from Laguna Grill. The food was way too expensive and wasn't good.

If the kids are with you, they'd probably like Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum, Shell Island cruises and of course they'd like the Emerald Coast/ Viper go kart racing and game room.

If its a romantic thing your looking for, then I'd recommend the dinnerboat cruise on the Lady Anderson at Captain Anderson's marina. It's a little pricy, but it really is nice.

  4. Good Luck in Northeast Alabama. My wife's family is from over in Collinsville near Cedar Bluff and we love to visit Little River Canyon and we love to eat at the buffet at Fibbers in Cedar Bluff.

We plan to retire over towards Scottsboro in Jackson County, which is above Fort Payne & Rainsville. I have only good things to say about the folks over there in North Alabama, they are friendly and EVERYONE you meet will invite you to their church and to their home for Sunday dinner.

There are some caves in DeKalb, Jackson & Madison County to visit (if you're into that) and of course there are plenty of things to do near the lake.

Good Luck and remember EVERYONE is either an Auburn Tigers Fan or Alabama Crimson Tide fan.

    ROLL TIDE!

We're going to miss you, but please check in often....

  5. I think you must have failed the "nuclear war 101" class, dude.

If a nuke goes off in China, then within a matter of MINUTES, probably every nuke they have will be launched toward U.S. targets. Most likely North Korea would use this as an excuse to do the same should they have any ready at that time, too.

No amount of stored bottled water and diapers are gonna help anyone here should that happen. No, that's NOT the way to go unless you want to live in a cave and eat bugs for the rest of your life *if* you should survive it.

Its only a matter of time until a major US city is hit by our enemies. Be it Chicago, New York, LA, DC, etc.

It's gonna happen, probably sooner than folks realize. The disaster will make Katrina look like a picnic.....

Why not strike our enemies 1st ? We know who they are and where they are.... I'd send a loud and clear message to our enemies that millions of their citizens will melt!

  6. So, would we borrow money from China to fight the war with China?

A war with China would be suicide, just like it would have been with the former Soviet Union. It ain't gonna happen.

There's no way to fight a war by being nice and using conventional weapons. That will only lead to defeat. If a war breaks out, we must use Nukes.... and plenty of them. No playing around, just nuke them daily and eventually they'd understand. .... But Bush has shown too little restraint. He should have nuked baghdad, Tikrit, Beiruit and a bunch of other arab cities, just to send a loud and clear message. The arabs are our enemies, don't be fooled into thinking otherwise.... Because of our refusal to Nuke Iraq, now we hear garbage coming out of North Korea, China, Iran, etc......I'm afraid that Bush has caused us more harm down the road by his policies of occupation & rebuilding. He should have nuked them!

  7. Actually, I disagree with your disagreement. Of late, there have several excellent documentaries out, based on leaked and/or declassified information. One of the most monumental being, the big 3 car companies in cahoots with big oil industries.

While I absolutely disagree with WT's stand on this being because of a particular president or congress, he does have the crux of things down pat. It IS and always has been the lobbyists who thwart some of our best ideas, and literally BURY them. With inovation comes the need for money to further the R & D. Without that, further attempts are futile as hell.

WT- perhaps you should know that in many of these cases, the lobbyists who buried certain projects and inventions were, in fact, democrats. This is about money- who has it and who does not. There are just as many RICH dems out there as there are GOPer's. I aint about affiliation, my friend, it's about money, and money alone. The democrats had buried some fantastic ideas that wuld have revolutionized the industrial world, while eliminating thousands of jobs and putting many "hard working" blue collar workers out of work.

WT- while a lot of your posts are inflamatory and directed straight at REP's alone, at least you do have one thing right- the gap between rich and poor has been getting wider and wider.

As I pondered this lately, I was reminded of the movie "It's a Wonderful Life". While some may not "see" it or agree with it, it clearly shows how capitalism without compassion is comparable to wolves governing sheep. Each man (Bailey and Potter) had enough money to basically build a town. But one man's vision was based on greed, while the other was based on "community" and the betterment of all citizens.

In the end we see where the greed sends the world, and it's not pleasant at all.

  8. I am in a situation that I'm not sure how to handle. Please let me know what you would do.

What if your son was murdered and the police department wasn't doing anything to solve the case? Although the crime was committed here, Paulding Co. is not in charge of the case. His body was taken across the county line so PC isn't investigating it. I COMPLETELY understand this and have no problem with Paulding Police. The problem I am having is with the "other county" that is in charge in the investigation. They are very busy and haven't been helpful since day 1. I have met with the investigator several times. I've sat in a conference room with the investigator and his superiors and was promised this and that. This and that never happened. Now I can't get anyone to return my phone calls or emails. I've even had leads for them that should have been followed up on. Still, no return call. The investigator is always on vacation or family leave. I've tried to get him off the case and his superiors told me it would hender the case to start over. I think if nothing is being done, what difference does it make? I've even tried to get this case turned over to ATL's Cold Case Team but was told as long as leads are coming in the case is still considered active and would remain where it is (although the leads aren't being followed up on). It's been 5 years and NOTHING. I've tried everything I know to do. Any advise would be appreciated. I don't want to cause ANY trouble, I just think we deserve justice. I just don't know what else to do. This is a touchy and sensitive subject for me so please keep rude comments to yourself. Sorry if this offended anyone. Thanks again for any advise.

Many crimes go unsolved and the police dept usually has their hands tied... They simply can't solve some crimes regardless of how many leads are thrown their way. Unless there is an eyewitness, all other evidence is picked apart by detectives. They'd usually not try to move a case forward unless they are sure that the circumstantial evidence is sufficient to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.............. I suspect you could hire a private investigator, but you'd probably need a lawyer too so you can get access to all the evidence that the police have.
