We had Arrow treat our front and back yards earlier this month and its been the best thing ever. We have a pool and had a gathering of about 25 folks and no one even saw a skeeter. We have tried torches, citronella candles, thermacell lanterns and nothing has worked effectively. It was only $65 per treatment and they will come back and re-treat if you see mosquitos again within the month.

As a proud Raider parent, I have gotten caught up in the game and booed a few times. Football is an exciting game. Thats why we yell at the referees and the coaches. When we see stuff happening that you rarely saw under the previous coach it is frustrating. I know it is for the players as well. I understand what Randy is saying and I will try to hold my tongue from now on.

I knew I would catch flak for what i posted and I will always support the players and thats why I posted what I did. Pretending everything is okay and not voicing an opinion about the way the program is going is not doing the players a favor either. If no one is complaining then how would anything ever change? The players know what is happening and they deserve the best. Reid wasn't the friendliest coach by any stretch of the imagination, but his teams didn't make the mistakes this one has, especially three games in a row.

The EP Raiders program is on the way down and fast unless they get rid of Coach Goddard.It is obvious he has no clue how to coach at this level. For the third game in a row he can't get organized enough to make sure there are 11 players on the field, not to mention having your most important player (quarterback) returning punts and he gets knocked out of the game! Why would someone with a disastrous record as a head coach get this job? The former principal really stuck it to East when he hired Goddard and then left for North Paulding. I hope the players are able to overcome and win

I hope the East head coach gets his head on right, I have serious doubts on the direction this program is heading.

I was notified today that the IBA has withdrawn the request for rezoning!!!!!!! Thank you to the Commisioners for listening to the citizens. Most of the time we think that the ordinary citizens have no chance when the "establishment" is deadset on a certain project. Welll this time they listened and it was dead even before the meeting. It has been mentioned to the Board of Commisioners that this property would be an outstanding area for a passive park such as White Oak. We need to make sure they know that we would support that use for the property wholeheartedly. Thank you

Mine drains off the back side of the hill behind the pool into the woods. It doesn't drain a whole lot even when it rains heavy. You will need to somewhere for the drain from the filter when you backwash. You wouldn't want that to go into a neighbors yard.

FYI, the meeting has been changed to June 25 due to the zoning request change from Heavy Industrial to Light Industrial. I am sure this change is to quiet the uproar somewhat. Ain't going to work. Any commercial or industrial building going in surrounded by residential is just wrong. We don't want this in our neighborhood and we for sure don't want the trucks and traffic on our small country road. I have a cement pond at my home and we love it. Its a salt system and its heated. The heater allows us to open it sooner in the spring and close it later in the fall. We get at least three months extra usage out of it that way. If I had to do it over again, I would add the following. -returns in the step area so dirt doesn't settle there as bad. - pre-run conduit from the house or pool house to different areas around the pool deck to add speakers for a sound system or to add accent lighting etc. - more than one light in the pool itself, one on the deep end of a 36' pool ain't eno

From what I understand the Industrial Building Authority bought the land and are wanting to build a spec building to then entice a tenant to either buy it or lease whatever. Thats what is so bad about this, the authority is filled with politicians and they usually won't vote against each other.

The majority of the school traffic will go right by it on Old Mill Road. Distance is about 1 mile from the school. Its close to the Macland Road end where they just tore down the old white house. (was my great grandparents home a long time ago. (+100 years)

Economic recovery is needed. However I have a good job and everyone I know that wants a job has one. Why are hundreds of residents quality of life being ruined for this? There are plenty of places along Interstate 278 that would be better suited for something like this. Differences in zoning is supposed to be gradual. Nice residential areas and country roads with heavy industrial right in the middle is asinine.

For those interested, the Industrial Building Authority is requesting to rezone from residential to heavy industrial 37 acres on Old Mill Road just off of Macland Road. This is the big pasture and woods on the left as you come off of Macland Road onto Old Mill Road. My information is they want to build a spec building of 300,000 square feet, 200 parking spaces and 50 loading dock doors. This is with the entrance and exit onto Old Mill Road. Dr. Crowley at Cobb Eye Center in the Ingles Shopping Center is excellent. He is an opthamologist which means he can do surgery instead of an optometrist that just does eyeglasses and such.

My oldest will graduate with honors from East Paulding. Going to North GA college in the fall. He does not paint anything by the way Still have a freshman and a 2nd grader. We have a long way to go but I am in no hurry to see them leave the nest.
