  1. I hear ya GW. This whole mess just has me sooo aggravated. We pay these folks good money to do this job and for what? Just so they can try to get credit for something that we do not need?

    Mr.Dis,

I guess we know what the opposite of "Pro"gress is ? "Con" gress.

  2. As I said, I do not wish to argue the merits of the plan. The point the article drove home to me is that neither side of the isle wants to work with the other to find the solutions to our problems, not just oil. I tire of their party fighting. Congress needs to get off their collective a$$es and get to work, TOGETHER. Both sides are afraid the other will come up with some good solution and get all the credit for it and they will shoot down a good idea just to keep this from happening.

    Mr.Dis,

Or, attach an amendment to get the bill killed. Or drive the price of the bill up with "ear marks".

Let's have "Line item VETO" or one bill, one vote (no earmarks and no attachments.).

    Georgia Dawg,

Thank you for posting. The link I had provided had worked earlier in the day. I guess the county web master changed the link's name.

  4. Thanks so much for the information. I had looked everywhere and could not find these results. I was beginning to think that it was a figment of my imagation that we even voted on these things.

Now my next problem. I cannot recall in what order the questions were asked. What was question 6? Or, the only one that got the no vote.

    confederaterose,

Question six : Was the only "NO".

Should Georgia change to a "Closed" primary system, where voters must choose a political party prior to the election?

  5. There are three locations they are looking at two in Paulding County and one in Cedartown.

I am not trying to not tell everything, I know some but not all. Hence, getting together with others to see what we can do.

    Thank you,

    DaisyMae

    Daisy Mae,

Is there an web link showing were they propose to build at these three locations? Is this a manned station?

  7. Congratulation David Austin,

I saw it in your eyes at Taylor Park. That is how I measures a man's worth.

Now the task ahead will be great.

    I offer the following advice.

Communication... (Ask for help from the people. Ask our opinion, Listen to our needs via town meetings, We all have a talent.)

There are a lot of good people here. We will help with our time and expertise.

If you need a computer security person.

    Again congratulations...

  8. Did you get your 4% cut ? Fannie Mae says the downturn in value was on the scale of 20 to 25 %.

So who is zooming who ?

On the subject of taxes the Chairman reported that “...

according to our Assessors Office, we will see an across-theboard

4 percent decrease in residential assessed values this

year. We will see a major revenue increase because of all the

new commercial developments. The Chairman’s budget will

be presented to the commission with no millage increase.

Combining all of this -- All homesteaded residences in the

county will see a county tax decrease this year,” he said.

  9. It doesn't really matter about the right click thing. I know on my mac I have a "grabber" function. I'm sure pcs have it as well. You just highlight a selection on your screen and it will allow me to save the portion that I highlight as a jpg. So even if I couldn't right click on your picture, I could still save it.

    ~Nikki~,

You are correct. I have snagged photos before on my pc and put into paint to remove the stuff around it.

  10. Put the hammer down... then back slowly away. By the way, don't forget to look out for the bright orange hos... ooops too late, never mind, Dang dude did that hurt as bad as it looks like it did?! :vava: :vava: :vava: :help: :help:    DKB

    Mr.Dis,

I did put the hammer down. Down on top of the ladder. Then I moved the ladder. Yep you guessed it.

As for the orange hose. It was hidden. No hurt there. (DKB).

  11. For the person that likes to be called "Chairman" to ask who sent the email was irrelevant. It is not like that Todd hacked Jerry's computer or took the email off of Jerry's desk. So what is Jerry going to do the the sender of the email, if Todd told him who?, Raise their property tax? (on wait he may have done so already for the past 8 years), Black list them? (has anybody been given less than favorable treatment after confronting the county?)

After all, how many people have seen the email on this forum? I am sure the person that likes to be called "Chairman" has seen it as well here and in his in-box. His ability to act surprised rates as an "F". His other comments were uncalled for at the meeting. I got the same reaction from a manager in my past that I called on a lie.

The fact is the email does exist. Has been confirmed. Has Jerry's name on it as well as other in the county. He has been aware of it since June 13, 2008.

  12. I so love this! Catching him redhanded in a blatant lie at a county meeting...Whew! From my learning of him and the way he does business I knew it was only a matter of time before his policies and arrogance caught up to him.

I think the Chairdude and the rest of the good ole boys have severely underestimated the people of Paulding. They used to be able to get away with so much and have gotten used to that way of life. They did not take into account the changing times with the ease of information gathering and the abillities of the new residents. Paulding is no longer just for the rural families and their older ways. No disrespect meant. All the new homes built in Paulding were purchased by intelligent well informed people that take an interest in their community.

I also find it interesting that we are not hearing anything from those that have been supporting him on the boards. I believe from this point forward he probably knows his reelection is not going to happen and I feel sorry for the mess that Austin is going to inherit

I would be more than happy to show David Austin, after he is elected, the "ease of information gathering". If I could get my hands on the county's computers. AS/400 guru
