  1. I do not appreciate the condescending tone. I am curious as to what incentives Paulding brought to the table as at one time Paulding was in the process of compiling an extremely agressive local incentives package. I have worked on the corporate side of the house in Corporate Development before and still have contacts in the industry. FYI.. Many times an open request record will be done by parties interested in an area to ascertain what the location may offer and as leverage in any discussions. I can guarantee you parties interested in Pauldimg are reading this site and digesting..

I'd have to agree with Winston...LPPT's comments were snarky and hint at intimidation. Namely,

"think that would be great Winston, hopefully you will know an economic development expert to help you interpret what you are looking at when you get it." This statement implies Winston isn't capable of understanding anything remotely as complicated as an incentive package offered to a business.

    and

"Winston you get those records, I will be glad to put you and your expert on camera with our economic director of Paulding county." This statement is demanding and intimidating and implies that LPPT could and would gladly humiliate Winston because he dared question her.

  2. Nope, just referenced the Rev. who said that May 21st was end of the world and then, when that failed, said sometime in November. Then, of course, there is the December 21, 2012 day that ends the Mayan calendar.

I just meant that it reads as an incomplete sentence, in my view, and I can't figure out what you are trying to say.

"While most folks dwell on the words of Biblical scholars predicting the 'end of the world' most folks in the south are dismissive of the idea that mankind, through the wonder of the most pressing issues that might address."

Here is an article about the increase in global warming and the issues being observed on the New Jersey Coastline.

Probably more disturbing is this video featuring economist Jeremy Rifkin.

    <object width="640" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/m9wM-p8wTq4?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/m9wM-p8wTq4?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="390" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

While there are certainly disturbing aspects of Rifkin's interview, the other side of the coin explains why apparently the only investment going on these days is for new energy sources ... and what he calls the third industrial revolution.

I don't understand your statement above in bold. Did you leave something out?

  4. Beautiful photos! The lighting is just so perfect.

I'm not going to play the game. I did a quick (and, hopefully accurate) run through of the remaining numbers. Hope this makes it easier for others to choose:

    7, 10, 16, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 30, 36, 39, 40, 42, 43, 45, 47, 48, 54, 55, 56, 59, 61, 62, 66, 68, 71, 72, 78, 80, 81, 85, 90, 91, 93, 94, 95, 97, and 98.

  5. Anyone have the inside track on movie tax credits? I know there is a program in place to give tax breaks to film companies that work in Georgia, or at least there used to be. A few years ago there was a chance to buy some of the movie credits to use on your own tax return. I was too late to take advantage and never quite understood how it worked. I would appreciate some info from someone in-the-know.

  6. I've thought about calling a cleaning service but every time I look around the house I think, "I have to clean up before someone can come in to clean!" I'm serious...I've got 4 kids living here and it seems every surface is covered with someone's papers, clean laundry on the dressers, dirty laundry in the bathroom, toys, school books, electronic devices, and other personal belongings. The closets are pretty full and I'm out of cabinet space. I'll throw things away and stack stuff up to clean but it builds up again before I know it. Suggestions?

  7. What areas do you serve? Is there a service-area map available?

I currently take all my plastic jugs and bottles back to Walmart for recycling (they have bins at each front door) but you take a lot more items. I only started recycling a few months ago and it made a big dent in how many trash bags we put out each week for the regular trash service.

So who was it? There are several for burglary, receiving stolen property, etc.

  9. About 2 years ago, my neighbor, who was renting, came roaring through our average, suburban neighborhood on a dirt bike with the cops a ways back but coming after him. I looked out the window and saw him take off his helmet and jacket and toss it under his deck then run into the garage through a door. Right after that the cops showed up and walked around the house and knocked on the doors but the guy didn't come out. They found the jacket and helmet but just left it. A few more cop cars showed up and sat outside for an hour or more. Eventually, the cops left but for the next week they patrolled the neighborhood quite frequently. He eventually was caught or turned himself in but I don't know what the charges were. I know he had to go to court at some point but I never heard more about it. Fortunately, these neighbors moved not long after that. Maybe he moved to Paulding county. :)

  10. Didn't call her a name did I? I just can't think of a thing that I would ever need or use her advice for. I'll accept defeat, but I am not accepting her as my representative. I'll continue to do without.

So, it's ok with you if others feel the same about Barack Obama...not accepting him as our President?

  11. Polling ABM AIP PRO Total

    P. R. BRADDOCK ® 0 944 2370 0 3314 66.45%

    WILL AVERY (D) 0 178 1478 0 1656 33.21%

I think these are the early voting only totals

I'm guessing maybe ABM means Absentee By Mail and AIP means Absentee In Person (early voters). Anyone know for sure?
