  1. I thought that I could never love my husband more than I already did, then seeing him as a father to our boys.... He is truly a wonderful man, husband and father..

That's how I felt about my husband, and then I fell even more in love with him when our daughter was born. We're even closer than we were before.

And we do not attend Braves games

  2. Three police officers were killed and at least two others were wounded in Pittsburgh Saturday after a domestic disturbance call turned into a gunfight. The alleged shooter, Richard Poplawski, was taken into custody.

I wonder if the officers let their guard down because they were afraid that they may appear to be insensitive to his situation and be forced to resign.

How horrible -_- Prayers for their families, and prayers that Poplawski doesn't last long with the new "Friends" he'll find in prison <_<

  3. Our two year old gets a swat on her leg or a smack on the hand when needed, which is not often AT ALL.Not sure if I consider the leg swats "spanking" but if the day comes when she deserves a good ole' fashion spanking,we wouldn't be against it ^_^

  4. You might want to listen again.

I just watched the first video again.

First word said from anybody was the first words out of the officer's mouth: "Get in there." They're piling out of the car by now, a woman included.

Again, from the officer: "Get in there. Let me see your hands. Get in there. Get...Lay your hands on the car. Get in there. Do you understand? Get over...."

    Sorry, the cop was wrong.

That's no way to handle a situation with a car w/flasher's on pulling into the emergency entrance of a hospital.

    The cop was wrong.

I guess perception is 99% of reality.

Okay...watched again and the first time the video skipped on me I guess and it went straight from the sound of the car door opening to the 1st lady coming at the Officer yelling at him.Still, after watching it again...shut up,hand your license over when asked...probably would have been over 10x's faster, with the appropriate citation/ticket written, right? He was telling the ladies/other passengers to get inside the hospital...he was wanting to just deal with the driver.I agreed that there was wrong doing on BOTH parties....he didn't do anything that should warrant him losing his job.Suspension,or other like action sure...but not losing his career.

  5. I'm just gonna say this........I'm glad Ryan had the sense to at least get to the hospital.

If he had stopped when the cop turned on his lights, on the side of the street, we would probably be reading about a much different story line.

I'm glad security came out at least to witness the situation.

I heard responses of "Yes, sir" and "No, sir" from Ryan.

The nurse informs the officer of the situation, and still, we're watching them in the parking lot while the cop uses his power and control.

I absolutely DO NOT believe the cop when he says "all you had to do was stop". I believe it would have turned violent and Ryan would have been handcuffed. Again, I'm glad he didn't stop on the side of the street where there would have been no witnesses.

When he got to the hospital all the cop had to do was go with him to the dying woman's bedside.

The cop is on a power trip, should be fired, and I don't believe this would have happened like it did in the parking lot if the family had been white.

    I know that's not a popular statement, but it's what I believe.

From the time they got out of the car,it was nothing but "mouth" from them.Officer says,"license" hand him your license while you're saying,"my mom's in there dying...I need to be with her" just so he has an idea of the situation. He should have cooperated with the officer...took a lot longer the way it went down because of the guys mouth.Sure he threw in a sir here and there, but he was combative from the beginning of the conversation.

  6. It is funny to watch the "out of context" remarks the officer makes and how they are used on the 6:00 news. Watching the entire episode gave me an entirely different view.

All the guy had to do was apologize for not stopping and say yes, sir and no, sir and he would have been on his way. But no, he had to pull out the "can't keep a black man down attitude" and argue with the officer for 16 minutes.

Should you be in this situation, simply dial 911 and tell the dispatcher what you are driving and your location. At least the office won't draw his weapon on you once you stop.

se1915 - you know what I mean. If the lady was expected to die at any time, why wasn't the guy camped out at the hospital?

Right...maybe if he'd had a "yes sir" type attitude, things would have gone smoother...I think both parties handled things wrong.I think the officer should be "disciplined" for the situation, but not fired.

  7. It works well. There are so many things you can throw ground beef into.

When I do that, and I don't want spaghetti or anything like that,I'll use the ground beef for nachos!I reheat the meat with some tomato sauce, and then layer tortilla chips, ground beef, and shredded cheddar, pop it in the oven ,to reheat the meat and melt the cheese and YUMMY,nachos, and it's a quick meal!Hubby loves when I have left over ground beef, lol.
