  1. There are a number of ways to increase your creditworthiness and paying your bills on time is at the top of the list. I tend to view a credit score kind of like taking your temperature, it is what it is and may help point out any potential problems. A credit score simply shows how well you pay your bills. I have read a number of tricks in this post about closing accounts, using credit cards every so often, etc. I would say if you have credit cards or accounts that are not being used and you have no intention of using them in the future, call the creditor and close the account, this reduces
