Some Paulding county folks have their panties in a wad
NewsJunky replied to LPPT's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Have to say that the system at PB Ritch did not always work either. There was often a long line on days that a large group came for a special event. Maybe this one will be better. They finally got rid of it. This was years ago. -

I seem to remember doing this at PB Ritch years ago. Sounds exactly the same. -
So Why Was the Only Black US Senator Not Invited?
NewsJunky replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Now Pubby, you know seniority had nothing to do with it. There were plenty of celebrities there with NO seniority. HE was still the only US Senator who happens to be black but that did not get him a slot on the stage for this event. I think Martin Luther King would have a problem with that. JMO -

Bingo! I think that was the reason. -

I truly wish I had the great talent you have for turning a serious subject into one with a touch of humor. -

But He is the only Black Senator In the US. Why wouldn't they include him in a celebration of this kind. There was a time when he could not have been. Shouldn't the fact that it is no longer an issue be acknowledged? -

Only for Paulding though, right. Would it be that easy to find if they were on one from another county or state? I think those are good points. -

Now that would be a first. How can it be racism when he is Black? -

I have always thought that volunteers should have some kind of check. I would not have had a problem with that when I volunteered. Teachers, subs, and others who work in the system have to have them. If someone is there a lot I think it could be a good thing. Devil is always in the details. I will wait for more info to condemn the BOE and I think the writer of this article should have asked questions and gotten the correct story before putting it out there. JMO -
Why was the only black US Senator not invited to the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King's march on Washington? Anyone have an answer? http://washingtonexaminer.com/sen.-tim-scott-wasnt-invited-to-event-commemorating-mlk-march-on-washington/article/2534830

You don't have to wait in the rider line LPPT. Folks coming to pick up their kids do not have to have a check. -

I think the check will be to see if they are on the sex offender list. Folks coming to pick up children are not going to be checked. If they are on the approved list they just have to show ID. -

Yes, I know it can be a slippery slope. Call Don Breedlove, the Director of Safety for the BOE and see if you can get some answers. Let us know what you find out. -
They are not better. The condition we were in was because the Democrats would not allow the Mortgage industry to be reined in. Guess what, they are doing some of the same things again.

They are purchasing a program that does it. $54,978.00 initially and $13,566.00 yearly after that. As I understand it only volunteers who work with or near the kids will have the check. http://www.keepntrack.com/ -

Wondered when that would make p.com. I think the lady needs to go to the BOE and get the story before she starts writing hers. -
All of those things Obama said he could fix. He has made things worse and his ideas get us further in the hole. I am hoping that some Democrats wake up and start joining the Republicans to truly fix things. Until that happens then the conservatives need to say no to him. Not only do they need to say no but they need to stop him from making law. That job belongs to Congress.

They have been abused by this President. He does not have that kind of power. There are three branches of government for good reason. Sometimes not getting anything done is better than what they do. Things like Obamacare, bailouts, and cash for clunkers.........
-
As long as the Courts and the Congress allow him to he will. They need to draw a line in the sand for the sake of America.
-
Yep! I like it too.

Liking that picture....

This is what he deserves. Wonder how many appeals he will get? They also ordered that he will not be able to get paid any longer. It's about time that happened! http://www.cbsnews.c...-appeals-ahead/

Wonder if Obama knows that if he attacks Syria he will be fighting on the side of al-Qa’ida? What am I thinking? Of course he has to know..... -

No. I think we should let them fight their own civil war. Sad as that makes me. -
He was in the wrong when he planned the deaths of women and children. He should pay the price.
