    Whose a Payroll expert?

    I swear the company I am working for is underpaying the employees based on what the time clock is showing.

    For example, one employee clocks in a 6:37AM and clocks out at 2:50 PM and the clock says her total that day is 8.13 so they paid her for 8.13 hrs....but if you figure from 6:37 to 2:50PM its doesnt come up to 8.13? So whats up? Somebody help me! I'm so confused and I can't explain it. PM me cause I don't know who is looking at this.

    I've ate there the last two Saturday evenings in a row......the Shrimp Scampi is the BOMB! It's sooooo good! Also, the hushpuppies are really really good! So what she serves in plastic dishes and silverware. I'm there for the food!

    I was laid off the end of February. Many of you will remember that I posted that I had to decide between two jobs...one local and one on Powers Ferry. Well here's an update for you.....the decision was kind of made for me in June, when the one in Powers Ferry decided to wait till August to hire someone so they would not be in the middle of their busy season, so I took the local job. It was thru a temp service and I had to work 90 days to become a permanent employee. I absolutely was bored to death, I worked for a real control freak who would give me very little work, and most of the time, and I kid you not, I was told to spread papers across my desk and appear busy :o . Well, I was two weeks shy of 90 days when the job on Powers Ferry opened up again. They called me, and as concerned as I was about gas, I took the job. I stay so busy, time goes by sooo fast, and I found a carpooler so the gas is alot better to handle. I make more money than I ever made in my life, great benefits, great people, 10 sick days, 3 weeks vacation, all the major holidays, and the Jewish major holidays. I have two paid days off every week in October, and my weekends are always free. Yea, sometimes the traffic is a bear, but its better than being bored as heck all day.

     

    So long story short, keep the faith, if your looking for a job, or have been laid off, it could be a blessing in disguise, mine was.

     

    The whole unemployment thing really got to me, I went thru depression, I wondered if I were too heavy, not dressed properly, I went on alot of interviews, I registered with 4 agencies, and you know where I finally found my job?? On Craigslist!

     

    The job is the best job I've ever had! Keep the faith, keep plugging, good things will come. My whole journey ended up taking six months, but in the end, it was worth it!

    I've been there a few times and really liked the doctor the last time. A woman but I can't remember her name. I've always been treated great there, they listen, and are thorough. No problems whatsoever.

    I just got offered a job there making $10 more an hour, I am wondering if its worth it, with traffic and gas. I work 8 miles from home now, but I sure could use the extra money.

     

    Can you guys tell me what your drive is like?
