I heard the Brooks restaraunt closed because the equipment kept breaking down and Mr. Mayfield (the landlord) wouldn't fix it. I knew someone that worked there.

I have older relatives (89 yrs old) who live at the corner of Macland Rd and Hwy 92 in Hiram. They've had a turkey that stayed around their house for about 2 1/2 years. They really got attached to it and started feeding it. A lot of people saw it walking around right by the road. They were afraid something would happen to it and it finally did. Sunday July 4th, a girl stopped to say it had been hit. A couple of people stopped because it had become "known" about this turkey. She said a girl hit it and was laughing the whole time and drove off. I want to thank the people who stopped and if anyone has any information on the girl that hit the turkey, I would appreciate it. They took it to Cobb Emergency Vet and had to have it put to sleep. It had a broken pelvis and wing.

We stayed at McKinney campground back in October and it was really nice. The lots weren't real close together and it was really clean. We haven't been yet this summer.

Don't know if this is true or not but I "heard" last year the superintendent Trudy Sowar didn't turn in the paperwork to the state and that's why Paulding didn't have Pre-K.

I felt it and thought the world was coming to an end. I ended up having a panic attack and couldn't go to work for a few hours!! Freaked me out!!!

Target is my favorite store- I refuse to go to Wal-Mart. My only complaint with Target is my daughter and I went in to get looseleaf notebook paper and they said they didn't carry it except during the "back to school" season. What's up with that???

Jimmy Lee Smith did own the liquor store in Hiram and he also owned a Wrecker Service in Hiram. The mayor of Hiram, Dewey Pendley is married to his sister Louise. He did drown at the Lake.
