  1. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2011/02/24/canadian-family-life-support-battle-denied-request-hospital-transfer/

Canadian health care allocation officials already ruled that Joseph had to be taken off life support and allowed to die in the hospital. A Canadian judge then ruled that Maraachli had to give his consent to having the breathing tube removed by Monday. He refused.

Maraachli says turning off life support could cause his son to choke and suffocate. He told Fox News on Wednesday that the doctors at London Health Sciences Centre have said the “best treatment” is to “let him die… I don’t know what kind of treatment that [is].”

The family believes this procedure will allow Joseph to breathe on his own, and thereby be able to go home and likely die there.

Doctors are now asking the Canadian government to allow them to remove the breathing tube without the family’s consent. The Ontario hospital contends that a tracheotomy would be painful for the boy, despite their argument that Joseph is in a vegetative state.

Imagine the Government having the "power" to authorize Doctor's to terminate your loved ones life WITHOUT your consent!

Yeah...you can have free health care if you want, but trust me, it will ALWAYS cost something!!!

  2. Each month we have our angel food distribution day and we are always looking for any volunteers who want to help out unloading the truck and packing boxes.

No experience nessesary. Just people willing to lend a hand for a few hours, while having a good time with some fun (sometimes weird) people. :)

  4. Praying for this family. I don't personally know her, but some at my church do and we have been praying for her for a long time. I'm really sad to hear that she had passed.

God, bless this family and give comfort and peace.

  6. I got a feeling that sometime in the future this could be my home calling! I have a 6 yr old boy and a 15 month old boy. There is no end to all the cuts and bruises and lumps that occur in our home these days.

Just Tuesday the 6 year old was chasing the 15 month old down the front steps to where I was and the 15 month old too a leap over the last step and nailed the concrete on his forehead.

Yeah, I know all too well what having boys entails.

  7. Sounds great, but I can't get past the steaks. I love them....

haha...yeah, its hard to bypass the steaks to try the ribs, but I promise, they are sooooo worth it.

BTW, you can get a steak and then add a half rack of ribs onto your order! :p ;)

  8. I've tried a few of the new ones and am really excited! I have to say that today I tried the Spicy Honey Dijon and it is my favorite. The Sweet is really good to, especially if your not into the "hot" wings, just good flavored wings.

  9. yeah, Matt gets that lead foot from mom! lol

I sure hated to come home today, but it will be good to sleep in my own bed.

Below is a picture of where we all had to take turns in this week, I did have me a nap one afternoon here too.

I should have spent the night in that hammock!

Yeah, Heather made me ride shotgun the rest of the way home and mom kept calling everytime she saw a GSP and we never saw 1 single police after that!

I think it was a conspiracy by "the man" to ruin my perfect driving record! :pardon:

Congrats on the award, lead foot must run in the family!!!!! Glad you all made it home well. Yall coming to Nannys next sunday for dinner? If so see you there, for some good food. We all know we don't miss to many meals!!!!!! Ha Ha.

(in a whispering voice like Field of Dreams...)

...if you cook it, he will come...

    :p

  10. The beach was AWESOME! I heard you guys had a little rain up here....we didn't even see ONE SINGLE DROP!! :)

I am glad to be home though. Now time to unpack. urgh! :(

Our laptop died on us half way through the week...hopefully it's not too bad.

And I got a souvenir from Early County Sheriff's department....a speeding ticket! :pardon: :ninja:
