  1. Farts are always funny! Especially when it happens at a time and place when it would be completely unappropriate.

During a serious bible lesson during a summer camp we had a girl who was sitting on the flood during a quiet time and all of a sudden....it happened. It was just a little one, but enough that it was heard, and the ripple of laughter just rolled....then of course, the more you laugh, the more fart comes out!!

It's hard to get back into a bible study after that happens. :p

  2. My mother has read this and gave it to me to read but I haven't read it yet. I guess I need to when I go to the beach in the next couple of weeks.

What kind of questions does it bring up...or do I need to just read it to find out. haha...

  3. I have to do everythig in even numbers, especially 2 and 4.

Example...When I walk down a side walk I have to walk inbetween the lines in even numbers, and I always start counting with my left foot. (I guess I get that from being a band nerd)

And when I eat chicken nuggets, I have to eat the crust around the edges first all the way around, then I eat the crust on both sides, then when all that is left is just the chicken, I dip that in my sauce. :)

  4. This is a Public Service Announcement, brought to you by your friendly neighborhood Pastor Matt.

I know parking lots can confuse you...you know with all that wide open, flat asphalt and all. Stores and shopping complexes actually spend a lot of money to have all the pretty white and yellow painted lines put down for a reason. Those lines are not just to make the black asphalt look all pretty, it serves a purpose.

I also know how convenient it is to just drive straight across that big, flat, smooth asphalt. You don't have to worry about all that pesky 'turning of the sheering wheel' and all the braking can really make your feet all tired. BUT, one fact remains....

YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY FREAKING PERSON IN THE PARKING LOT!!

If you don't know what all the pretty white and yellow lines mean, then please get a drivers manual and look it up. Then you can keep all of the other people trying to maneuver the parking lot correctly (including pedestrians) safe.

Thank you for your time, and please drive safely.

  5. Do you need donations? I have a pantry and a freezer full of food from my crazy couponing that I'll never eat!

wondering about this as well! I need to go through my cans to see what are potentially coming up on an expiration (sp?) ... will need to know where and how as well! :)

YES! Angel Food ministry is separate from our Food Pantry ministry, but we do accept food for our Food Pantry.

When you have anything to donate, contact me and I can set up a time to meet you at the church.

    Thank you!

  6. just so everyone knows....

St. James Community Church WILL continue Angel Food Ministry.

There was some confusion yesterday, but all is well. We have new leadership for this ministry, but we will continue being a Angel Food Ministry host site.

We will have menus available tonight at the church and will begin taking orders for next month starting ASAP. For right now orders can be placed at the church in the drop box.

I will be posting later this week with a new contact phone number if there are any questions or concerns. For the time being you can PM me or email me at matt@saintjamescc.com.

    Thank you!!

  7. It's 1:15 am on saturday/sunday and after working 13 hours today, I am now sitting up way too late on PCOM eating Frosted Flakes with a ice cream scooper when I should be finishing my sermon....

...I need to study...I need to wash some dishes...I need to sleep.

  8. Ok, I trudged through 1 countdown that got revised because of all the poor souls who was not ready for the transition.

Today it is T minus 34 days until the new revised deadline. PLEASE....PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND HOLY...PLEASE HURRY UP AND FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU ARE TO DO SO THAT YOU DON'T MISS YOUR JUDGE JUDY AND MATLOCK SO WE CAN NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH ANOTHER STINKING COUNTDOWN!!!!

    ok, I feel better.

  9. You have 30 days to correct the problem. Take them back to the same emissions testing site w/ receipt and you will not have to repay the $.

well, except for the 150-200 dollars that it may cost for the part on my wife's 2004 vehicle...not uncluding the cost to pay someone to install it.

Of course, we have no mechanical issues to speak of and everything runs fine, but we still must pay this to pass emissions.

    STU--PID!!

  10. Well, both my truck and my wife's trailblazer has failed the government mandated vehicle emissions test.

So, after paying $50 for the emissions, we are now off to spend more hard earned money to get both these vehicles up to snuff so the government can give us permission to drive on tax funded roads, then once we get them up to snuff we will have the previledge of paying the government more money when we purchase our tags.

  11. It is very interesting to say the least. What were they trying to say about the grease pit? Was something wrong with it?

And it is funny that they are driving around in that kind of vehicle. Also, that door magnet is the kind that you buy online from a place like Vistaprint for free or really cheap.
