Does anyone know of a reliable career/job search tool on the web other than monster.com or careerbuilder.com?
-
I have my first interview tomorrow afternoon with another company.
-
when you get a call from your director notifying you that your job has been eliminated.

Sorry you lost your job! Good Luck in the hunt for a new one. They cut my hubby's hours so we ware feeling the "crunch" also.
So true, I also have a home office that I just finished off because I was working from home. I am getting pretty good at putting around. lol

Yeah, it should be an interesting time to say the least. I have a background in call center operations. Maybe I should look to India.
-
Got layed off at 11 this morning. At least I respect the guy who cut me.
Just trying to blow off a little steam. Is there an area on p.com that can be used as a resource?
Besides the help wanted obviously.
If there isn't, it may be a good idea if we had one.
I would use it.

I think that these are extras for the movie.

This is how I spent my Friday evening.

Looks like the person who ate the corn from El pollo loco.

Does anyone know what time the Special Olympics bowling is this morning?
Don't forget to come out and support the kids at the alley.

I order mine from JC Whitney- also used the Chen Shin tires and had good luck- not bad for being chinese.

I really like this one, but think that it is too large for me to tow.
-
Sorry- I have a Venture- not a Voyager...need more coffee
From Google:
Some minivans such as the Chevy Venture are rated to tow 3,500 pounds. Are front-wheel-drive vehicles OK for towing? How about all-wheel-drive? What are the benefits and detriments of each type of system?
As long as you don't exceed the tow rating of the vehicle, any front-wheel-drive car, SUV or minivan will tow fine. The main consideration with using a front-wheel-drive vehicle as a tow rig is the fact there will be less weight over the drive wheels,

Maybe I should consider a smaller one, such as a 12'.

I have a 6 cylinder Chevy Voyager minivan and am thinking about buying a pop up camper.
The ones that I am considering are what I would say is the mid range model. Meaning they are not tiny, yet not too large.
Does anyone have any input on towing one. Experiences while camping, etc. I would plan on using the camper within a 150 mile radius of Paulding, so there would be no serious mountains to climb.
Just curious to know if anyone has any input.

I cannot believe that nobody has said this yet:
Q: What is the difference between ass kissing and brown nosing?
A: DEPTH PERCEPTION

I am happy to have a job.

You can put them in the microwave until they burst....that is pretty interesting.

Because biker threads are very entertaining. Everyone posts on them and there are usually some very good discussions.

Why do you think that?

Buy a cabin in the north Georgia mountains and a pontoon boat for Lake Weiss. Oh yeah, and a camper to keep a Lake Weiss.

<-------- Sitting back and watching the show. I think that this is going to be a good one.
Got laid off today

Sorry to hear that you were laid off. I need to know where to go to file for unemployment and need to find out about the following scenario.
I am not officially "laid off" until 3/16. I will receive a severance package until 7/21.
The way I understand it, as long as I am receiving income from a severance package, I will not get unemployment.
If this is true, shouldn't I wait until closer to July, so I can maximize the benefit?
Where is the unemployment office?
