    Yes. A HUGE thank you from me. I think we got her through the biggest hurtles she is facing. With her new job, and the help everyone gave her to make it through until she gets her first pay check, I think she is on her way to making a fresh start. Her utilities are paid in full, she has a full tank of gas in her vehilce, and a pantry full of food. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

    Why submit something that's already been proven worthy-that doesn't make sense-isn't the point to distinguish real need from fake need? That's already been done here.

    I would love to see this project finished also. Most of the details are already out there, and it would be nice to go ahead and let us finish this up and give people who are already helping, and those who would still like to help, updates as to what is going on.

    I also don't see a need to submit this through the community chest since it was already found worthy and started.

     

    If everyone will play nice, and keep the project at hand on focus, I would like to see this "grandfathered" in also.

     

    Maybe we can try doing that here, and see how it goes.

    Wait...so you have to buy a new membership to see who needs help? Or to post about someone needing help? So, not only does pcom select who is "worthy", but you're also asking people to pay if they want to give money to the CC or read about people in need? Above and beyond the membership that they already paid for? Am I reading this wrong?

    Read this from the mother we are trying to help.

     

     

    I just want to make another statement regarding this whole situation that has gotten out of hand. I would post it myself, but I am trying to protect my STBX's anonymity as best I can.

     

    First let me say that I am eternally grateful for the outpouring of help and support that p.com has offered to me and my children. The help that you have given has been tremendous, and it is soooooo appreciated. I do want to say that I did not come on this board asking for help, that my wonderful friend knew I would be too prideful to ever do such a thing, and she posted what she did last week trying to simply get some help with the electric bill so that I would not go home with three kids to a dark house. I am not going to go into great detail on this board about WHY the power was going to be shut off...there again, trying not to bash the STBX. Everything else that has been done has just been above and beyond anything I ever would've expected, and I am so grateful for that. As for asking family, those means had pretty much been exhausted at that point, or eliminated by the STBX.

     

    However, because this has become such a mess, with all of the drama attached, here is where I am going to draw the line. Please help someone else, who is not able to get back on their feet. I may lose my truck, I may lose my house, but guess what? I'll be okay. My kids will be okay. I WILL make it. God WILL provide a way for me, regardless of all the negative that is attached to this divorce...of that I have NO doubt. I have a good job now, and it will be a struggle for a while but I WILL be fine.

     

    I'm not going to go into great detail about the situation with my STBX, because this is a public message board. I just want it all to stop right now. Focus on someone who has worse problems than a messy divorce. There are those that need it worse than me and my kids do.

     

    Please don't take that to be an ingrateful attitude. I just want all the drama to stop.

    I checked and there is a "community chest" forum and it mentions posting requests for help there.

    But the way I am understanding it, no one will be able to see your posts. It will totally controlled by moderators and they will decide if it is a worthy cause. I think something that has already been started, and has enough people who feel it is worthy, should be able to atleast finish what we started.
