  1. I've already made reservations for my daughters basement. I figure she owes me, and I get to eat all her good food out of the fridge without replacing it, leave me laundry in the dryer, borrow her good make-up and not return it, and EXPECT her to clean my toilet. I can hardly wait!!

  2. Ummm..... Banks need to come and cut the dang yard if they forclose on your neighbors home so your home won't look like crap. Both neighbors on both sides of me got foreclosed on and now me and my neighbor across the street have to cut the lawns, because this makes the neighborhood look like crap. They should make that mandatory for banks to hire some landscaping agency to cut foreclosed houses yards if they are in neighborhoods.

Contact the Marshal Office by going to the Paulding.gov web site and downloading a complaint form. It takes a while but they will find out who owns the house and cut the grass. Not very well but at least hack it down.

  3. If you mow your yard, and then start mowing a couple of feet into your neighbor's yard. then you own that property by the end of summer.

Hot Dog!!! I have two front yards!!!

If you own a lawn care business, then keep your own lawn in perfect shape. One of neighbors owns a business and his yard is a freakin eye sore. Weeds, ant hills, dead tree and only gets mowed a few times a year.

And if your yard is serviced by a company, teach them the proper way to park on a street. Nothing worse then hitting the top of the hill on the curve and finding a truck and trailer sitting there facing you with no way to see what is coming around them.

Pick up your wet rotting newspaper out of your yard before you mow and blow it all over the hood.

  4. I remembered another one.

When we go to the grocery store and they would walk 20 feet in front of me and act like they didn't know me, I would grab the T.P. out of the cart and say loudly ,"is this the kind you said doesn't make your hiney itch???

Works well at the check out counter too when they are flirting with the baggers.

  5. My favorite one to yell at my daughters when they were with friends and heading out was, "and don't forget honey, front to back"

only girls know what you are talking about and they would all blush about a thousand shade of red.

It's gotten harder and harder to embarrass them as they have gotten older, but his one still works pretty well.

They hate it now when I sing along to the smutty tunes they are listening to on the radio. Our current fav is PokerFace by Lady GaGa. Something about your Mom singing "and baby when it's love if it isn't rough it isn't fun" to make them cringe.

  6. I get so many compliments from my fake flower vines in my bathroom. I put it up around the top with small thumb tacks and across the top the windows. I got them from the $Tree and I take them down twice a year and wash them in the bathtub with warm soapy water. We have high ceilings in the bathroom and it really draws the eye up.

I have also made my own curtains and made matching throw pillows. Quick easy and inexpensive.

In one bedroom we took a big cork board, added some padding and covered with material for a head board. Then made a matching bedspread and curtains for a one of a kind look.

I also enjoy collecting similar things like skeleton keys and tin ladles and using them in my design. I look for these online or antique stores and I never pay much for them.

  7. We owned an very large above ground pool for years when the kids were younger. I wouldn't trade those fun times for anything.

Our Realtor gave us some good advise years ago that you might want to consider. Some people don't like pools and if you ever plan to resale your home it could be considered a nuisance. Our other neighbor told us the same thing. He had an inground and once the kids moved out he hated it. Lots of work and with just him and his wife, well it pretty much became a place for the dogs to play around in.

  8. Really Freebird! Kick a nice older guy after all he has given to the game. He was/is a character, and a true hero in the game of football. Okay, not the most well spoken of the NFL media world, but he truly added a great deal to what is often time boring commentation(sp) to the game.

Not to mention what he has done to the world of the multi-legged turkeys of America!

  9. I am in no way a doctor, but I can tell you that this once happened to my middle child. I picked her up at school and she looked like she had a baseball in her cheek.

When I called the doc. they said bring her in IMMEDIATELY. They gave us two options. I.V. antibiotics (and a hospital stay) or a shot of antibiotics followed up with another shot in 12 hours and then oral antibiotics.Which there weren't 100% sure would work. The swelling was in the sinus cavity and we were told could put pressure on the brain. She was 7 at the time. Scared the living daylights out of me.

Please call your doctor just to be on the safe side.
