Clark Funeral Home Posted October 27, 2014 Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 Papa Guy Seals, age 83, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014. He was born on April 9, 1931, in Dallas, GA, to the late Jesse Guy and Bernettie Seals, and was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years, Dorothy Jean Seals, and son, Tommy Seals. Mr. Seals was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War, retired Underground Supervisor for Georgia Power after 32 years, and a member of Bethany Christian Church. Mr. Seals’ family came first in his life and he always took care of them. He enjoyed rabbit hunting, deer hunting, and farming. He was a member of the Cattleman’s Association, Chief of the Volunteer Fire Department at Station 5 on Ridge Road, and a member of the Beagle Club. Survivors include wife, Carol Seals of Hiram; son, Kenny Seals of Hiram; grandchildren, Scotty Seals, Kendra Seals, and Lindsay (JR) Summerville; great-grandchildren, Ryan Turner and Brayden Summerville; brothers, Frank Seals of Georgia, and Ralph (Thelma) Seals of Villa Rica, GA; sisters, Eunice Cole of Dallas, GA, and Delena (Paul) Carroll of Douglasville, GA; step-sons, Marvis (Melanie) Norton of Waco, GA, Keith “Buck” Norton of Waco, GA, and Terry (Sherrie) Norton of Alabama ; other step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Mike Wheeler and Deacon Charles Bice officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. Scotty Seals, Joe Clark, Brian Williams, Jake Norton, Drew Norton, Billy Allen, Mike Kitchens, and Nick Austin will serve as pallbearers. Charles Bice, Bud Bullock and Ray Anderson will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 27, 2014, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and Tuesday, October 28, 2014, from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM.
