Deputy David McIlwraith, age 44, of Dallas, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011. He was born August 31, 1966, in Americus, GA.

Mr. McIlwraith worked as a Narcotics Agent for the GBI for years 20 years and was a Deputy with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.

Survivors include his wife, Wendy McIlwraith; mother, Judy McIlwraith of Americus, GA; daughters, Payton Beck of Dallas, GA and Gabby Beck of Dallas, GA; sister, Jill McIlwraith Turner of Americus, GA; uncle, Drew & Tammie McIlwraith of Americus, GA; cousins, Renee Halley of Macon, GA, Mitzi Halley Martin of Panama City Beach, FL, and Jeanine Warner of Macon, GA; niece, Jordan Manning of Marietta, GA; and mother-in-law, JoAnn Nelson of Marietta, GA.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor David Camp and Chaplain Wayne Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

Clark Funeral Home, Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.

Prayers for the family

 

 

 

I went to high school with his wife. Such a sad story to be a widow at that young of age.

My heart breaks for that family. They are having a VERY hard time with this :(
